Hello,
I kindly wanted to comment especially since you mentioned Muslims.
As a Muslim I know that Islam is against homosexuality. If something is haram (forbidden) in the religion then I am not going to support it. I don’t support drinking alcohol, smoking or sex outside of marriage. I am against homosexuality as it is a sin. It's part of my religion to enjoin the good and forbid the evil. Of course if it leads to a greater evil then no. This phrase ‘don’t judge’ seems read as ‘accept the sin’ but as a Muslim i am supposed to hate an evil in my heart even if i cannot do anything else about it. This does not mean i am not going to be respectful to a homosexual person but what i am not going to do is tell them that what they are doing is okay.
Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say:
"Whoever of you sees something evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able, then with his tongue; and if he is not able, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith."
