Round 1
Pro
#1
The United Nations does not hold any tremendous power currently that makes them seem worth the 200 billion dollars we give them.
Con
#2
Although the UN do not hold enough power as it hold earlier but  it still act as a building bridge . The UN might not be able to solve every problem ,but on removing its existence may exaggerate  many global problems into  more deplorable state. It act as a international accountability although the decrement was seen but  its neccesary that imperfect  international institute is far more better than no existence of it.
Round 2
Pro
#3
But is it worth 200 billion dollars for the USA to “be able to communicate better with countries”, when their are perfectly good and honestly better ways of connection from the USA to every country on earth, we have the best communications out of any country.
Con
#4
Forfeited
Round 3
Pro
#5
Exactly
Con
#6
USA being a "good communicator" pragmatically  abberant under current geo-political status. At  current situation (Iran -Iraq conflict) USA itself claim that it doesn't want any escalation but acting contardictory. Its statements are skeptical for large audiences because it appearing more aggresive rather than its public language suggests..the connection of USA with other countries are not now as strong and efficient as it was earlier. So " yes" USA plays a prominent role in communication but do not hold enough relability. A need for commom communicating international institute is still required that role is served  by UN.
Round 4
Pro
#7
But it still begs the question on whether we are willing to spend 200 BILLION dollars on being able to communicate with other countries when we still have alternative methods of communicating that are just as good, and mostly better, considering the USA can communicate with the most amount of countries in the world. If so, what are we spending that taxpayer money for.
Con
#8
The very USA we are talikng about as a" good communicator " has a history which do dont recognised it for the work that UN does. The USA and its allies invaded Iraq, occupied it and removed Saddam Hussain.USA installed a government of its own prefernce and we no longer have an audacity of giving UN responsibility to USA.the UN do not recognised this USA-Iraq war as a legal act.UN help in cooperation of internatianol law ,security , economic development and social equity.UN itself have major dominance of USA on it but the power is distributed between powerful countries which include China , Russia and England many more. And if thinking of making other internatianol institute it will also act like UN only . an international institute can not be ruled by a particular country.Like we have democracy for nation we have these institute  as democracy for world.so 200 billion dollar is not in waste it leads to better functioning on international level and build a harmony and sense of security among countries. The leaders of USA put enough money in their political campaign that has no good reason for except their own favour and now the USA found this 200 billion dollar for mankind as a waste.
