Round 1

Hitler was super awesome, he saved the german economy and killed many filthy judenratte.
Con

Thanks, Type1.

Let's agree that debatable claims should be substantive, contestable, reliable, and relevant.

"i chunged me moond, iz am a fascist nazi now heil hitler kill jews yay" is a singular statement that does not assert any general principle.  An observation that only applies an individual fails the test of universalism and so is rejected as a contestable  point.

"Hitler was awesome" and "judenraete were filthy" are subjective superlatives, personal observations and therefore unreliable and irrelevant.

That Hitler killed many Jews is a notion uncontested by serious historians, around 6 million persons being  the generally accepted approximation.  That some of those dead were also members in German-controlled Ghetto Judenraete governing councils is not likewise established history and so not contestable.

Of the remarks spewed by Pro only  "Adolph Hitler saved the German economy," meets the standard of a debatable point.  In reply, Con would note that Adolph Hitler only saved the German economy for a few brief years before destroying the German economy utterly.  To say that Hitler saved the German economy is like saying that the US Army saved Hermann Goring from the Russians and SS hunting him: while true, the act of salvation only prolonged life by guaranteeing horrible death.

During the Hitler era (1933–45), the economy developed a hothouse prosperity, supported with high government subsidies to those sectors that tended to give Germany military power and economic autarky, that is, economic independence from the global economy. During the war itself the German economy was sustained by the exploitation of conquered territories and people.  Physical capital in the occupied territories was destroyed by the war, insufficient reinvestment and maintenance, whereas the industrial capacity of Germany increased substantially until the end of the war despite heavy bombing. (However, much of this capacity was useless after the war because it specialized in armament production.)   With the loss of the war, the country entered into the period known as Stunde Null ("Zero Hour"), when Germany lay in ruins and the society had to be rebuilt from scratch.

German prosperity was briefly buoyed by disengagement from the global economy, mass enslavement, mass liquidation, and hyper-investment in war material but none of these factors were economically sustainable and all carried explosively inevitable destructive consequences.

I look forward to Pro's reply by forfeit.

Round 2
Pro
#3
Forfeited
Con
#4
Pro made a single contestable claim without any evidence.  Hitler sacrificed the future of Germany and Germans in exchange for a few years of economic improvement.  Hitler did not save the economy, he damned the economy alongside the souls of many Germans.  Please vote CON.
