WF looks kind of inevitable at this point, and I think I may have realized. If WF is scum, then the reason they gave up so easily is probably because their scum partner is in the PoE. He's not trying to move the lynch to Mharman or anabanana, so if WF is scum, he probably figures a scum is getting lynched today no matter what so he might as well take his chances with Austin. If he's town, I don't totally understand why he hasn't tried to move the lynch to someone else in PoE (I think if he'd put in more effort, he might have convinced us) but I guess it can get kind of draining if it feels like you're getting scum read no matter what.

If WF just never submitted an answer (instead of submitting a silly one) would he lose by default? If he's town, I think that's the best way to play it safe.

Okay, I don't like any of our Lynch options, but I've got my PoE down to a whiteflame/banana scum team.

Savant is a big town read behaviorally, and Earth says he copped me inno, so from my POV he's a hard town. Mikal is a town read too now. No scum would put themselves on the line just to get past 1 DP in a 2v7 situation unless they have a double vig, which if they do, I'm never playing a Luna game again.

Austin's role is in no way a scum role, and I really can't see a world where he lies about it. I genuinely think Luna made some sort of mistake. Out of anyone, I should be the one who should be pushing his Lynch the most because I CCed him, but I really don't see a game where he is scum.

I don't like mharman's behavior too much, but I never do, so he's a null. I've got no reason to sus pie, which is usually a good sign for him. I've got no reason to give him town-cred though, so null on that one too.

That leaves whiteflame and banana. I like both of their behavior, and I've been pushing for both of them being town for a while, but everything else has forced my hand, and I don't think I can defend banana anymore, or whiteflame. Whiteflame's role seems like the fake-claim. It's a game that should definitely be in the game, but it's a very scummy role. The fact that Whiteflame doesn't want to reveal the other roles on his wheel doesn't sit well with me, and the fact that he has a role that can do that feels very fake-claim-y.

As for Banana, the fact that whiteflame confirms her night action makes her seem complicit. Then she keeps pushing the Mikal lynch this DP, and it gets to be too much. Earlier when we were just going on behavior, I fell on her side more, but now that we have more info, everything seems to override my reads, and I have to go with it now.

He’s just been off the entire game and I will never be able to shake the timing of his claim after Ana and the potential fake claim because of wylted 

Like I said regardless he is the best pick for probability of scum, utility and information.  Or even going into his behavior all game

just replayed some stuff if in my head. If wf flips scum, I 100 percent can solve the game. Without failure

If he flips town, I still think I have a very high chance of ending outside of mafia being somewhat strong and having ways to fuck with stuff. 

I also am not worried about the night kill

Just landed. I don’t see what’s hard to understand here. Every defense of myself has been scumread. Explaining ad nauseum why it would be ridiculous for me to make this claim as scummy has become an exercise that reminds me of nothing so much as Whack-A-Mole, where people (yourself included) keep moving from “it’s your actual claim” to “it’s just a bad fake role claim” to “it’s your fake role claim,” all of which I’ve pointed out are absurd for a variety of reasons. Every attempt I’ve made to explain my reads and put pressure elsewhere, even when I wasn’t the focus of everyone’s attention back in DP1, was sussed. I get that because I would have sussed someone who kept trying to push attention off of themselves.

So I sincerely don’t know what you or anyone else wanted from me aside from not throwing my hands up in exasperation yesterday. If there was a way out of this, I’d sincerely love to know what it looked like because I can’t see it.

Instead, I’ll take the L and use it to accomplish something. For you and everyone else who sees me as obvious scum, I’ll be really interested to see how you respond to all this next DP. For now, though, I’m good just getting this one over with.

That's not really accurate. I've said already that from my POV, the odds of you, Mharman, and banana individually being town are just above 50% each. That's still lower than the odds of everyone else being town, so that makes you my PoE. I've agreed to target you today over those two for basically the following reasons:

1. Your lynch gives us useful information about banana.
2. You agreeing to go along with the plan to confirm Austin.
3. Others I trust want to target you, and I'd rather coordinate with them than risk lynching outside my PoE

I'll admit that some of the reasons I have for scum reading you, like WyIted's behavior, are things you can't really control if you are town. So there's a good chance that you are town and just got unlucky being caught up in the scum pool. If you have any additional reads on Mharman or banana's behavior, I will definitely take them seriously, especially if you flip innocent. Just because I think you are the best person for Austin to target doesn't mean I'm discounting the possibility that you are town, and if you are, any comments you have today on PoE (including the ones you've already given) will be helpful for town.

But your death isn't the only thing at stake. I know you've given some reads already, but the game still continues after you die, and this is likely your last chance to give any suspicions you have about Mharman/banana/the whole Austin and Moozer cc situation. I mean, if you are town, you have a big interest in how we handle those things after you die.

I’ve said it multiple times, but let’s roll this back.

The theory then is that, after seeing that these three exact roles were being given to town via these trivia events (not sure I can call the second one that, but still), and just decided that, despite having an available role and character claim from Luna and full claim from Casey, I’d just go for it with the obvious mod-confirmed CC on the table.

I’ve claimed my own role before as scum, I’m not denying that. I am baffled that anyone would think I would look at the game up to that point, see that all three of the roles I had were already on the table, and just YOLO and claim them anyway. I had time to work this out, unlike last game, and I had alternate fake claims, also unlike last game. But according to this explanation, one or more of them was either unusable for some reason or I just threw it away in favor of what was arguably the dumbest townie role claim I could have made.

And all that is aside from the fact that, if I had scum versions of these roles, I would still have to be damn near certain that no one had these roles, something that was still entirely plausible with these rewards on the table.
