A young woman becomes pregnant after an illicit tryst with an unknown lothario.
The male issue of said illicit tryst, after a brief spell as a carpentry apprentice to his stepdad, then decides to become a wandering story teller.

I asked you three simple, honest, non-blasphemic, questions, concerning social attitudes 2000 or so years ago.
Your inability to reply, therefore leads me to the following conclusions:
A. You regard pregnancy outside marriage, as reasonable behaviour.
B. You regard cheating on a betrothed partner with stranger, as reasonable behaviour.
C. If your wife to be slept with another man and became pregnant, you would regard this as reasonable and forgivable behaviour.
Just seems like a whole lot of contradiction to me .

They were betrothed. St. Joseph was a righteous man who was Jesus' earthly father, and seen as such. He and Mary married after the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, before Jesus was born.

I was asking the questions within the context of Judean society 2000 Years ago, and not within the context of latter day mythology and theistic/deistic hypotheses.
When Joseph and Mary were just ordinary folk, and when Mary was pregnant out of wedlock, and the Father was not Joseph.
All this beatification stuff, went on a lot later, after the Christian myth had become established.

They are only beyond redemption if they refuse to repent and seek God. Any sin can be forgiven if the desire for forgiveness and belief in God is true, which is why God is not evil. He may have conceived evil, but he wants us to choose good. By not conceiving evil and allowing Satan to choose the path he did, God would be denying us free will. He has always given us a choice. That there are consequences does not mean there is no choice.
