Hello DART,

By unanimous decision among the moderation staff, we have decided to end AdaptableRatman's time as a trial mod. As of this posting, he will no longer act with any of the authority of moderation. The decision to induct AR as a trial member of the moderation team was one that we made with the aim of increasing the activity and investment in the site as a whole. It's no secret that many of us have had our disagreements with AR, both on this account and on previous accounts of his. His return to the site and a shift in the focus of his posts led us to believe that this was an opportunity for his fervor for the site to be used for the benefit of the site.

After roughly 72 hours we have decided that we will not continue with having AR as a moderator. We appreciate his dedication to the site, but it is apparent that we share fundamentally different views on how the website should run and how the moderation team should work together. 

This thread will be closed shortly after this is posted. Members can discuss this decision elsewhere in the forums.

It's just unethical and a way for him to avoid defending his decisions because he thinks he is a God. Give one good argument for why we wouldn't leave this thread open? 

RM deserves his side of the story heard if he wants to share it

I'm ok with discussion on the decision. I just don't want this to devolve into personal attacks and insults. I opened the thread because I knew there would want to be some discussion on it.

This is the one time where RM was actually a victim. We all knew where this was going and we all know RM as misguided as he is has his heart in the right place. 

To give him something he worked hard for and wanted for for so long and then strip it away is cruel. It's probably more ethical to let him just destroy the site. Yes David's moderation when he was head mod showed a sharp reduction in community engagement and we knew RM would take that same strategy to the extreme and be the nail in the coffin, but at least it would show some courage to give him the levers.

Because spineless WF has made it so. :)

God works in very, very mysterious mystical ways.

The test is not solely on me. It is also on others.

God has seen things (but saw it far before of course) and so have I.

Before there were maybes to me. Maybe eventually the site can be reformed.

WF is allowing utter vitriol, disrespect and degeneracy to take place.

That is proof.

I don't think people realise anything here about how crooked and corrupt these mods are.

They don't care about the rules, they want to be popular. If even David is this spineless that says it all.

Just remember I could have had access to the Barney account and done all this differently. Let us not be fools and say I was anything short of high in integrity.

I don't think people realise how far this could have gone had I been evil.

The post is pretty general and lacking in the specifics necessary to have such a discussion. Though, you did say that you were concerned about things devolving in to personal attacks. I suppose perhaps that is the reason that details are low.

Well, if that's what happens then you can police it. This is partly what moderation is for. Otherwise the situation is not to have anything to talk about I guess. That is unless AR wants to provide details? Im not seeing much from his end either.

It was God's will for him to lose there as well as get self-banned for 10 days. I wish it was a real ban, but I am happy with this too.

This is not a guarantee, but there is a strong chance Lemming will become a new moderator. 
This is a great decision, and I know a lot of people support it.

It took some convincing to get Lemming to agree, I vouched for him to whiteflame.
Whiteflame is bringing it up with the other mods, I hope it gets approved.
