Will AI make investing in higher education pointless?

Does it stand to reason that the vast majority of academic jobs that require no physical skill or dexterity would be replaced by AI. Many many jobs are are being replaced by robots that actually require some form of physical dexterity.  I think higher education and its required investment will become pointless in the future for the vast vast majority. There will be no jobs for them  to do other than be support for AI infrastructure which most likely wont require any advanced education.

What do you think the future is for the highly educated? What jobs can they do that AI could simply take over?

You can use AI to get education. AI teachers are futute too. Also, using AI is going to be a new job. It  may sound simple, but not  everyone can use AI equally. AI will make mistakes unless you give proper command. And it takes time to get some stuff out of AI. Like, I use AI to make songs. And it takes me 50 tries till I hit the best spot. Usually, either music sucks either lyrics arent properly sung. AI generation has random element to it.

Its only a matter of time before all that is worked out. AI improves geometrically in 20 years people will be imbecilic compared to AI. The entire point of AI is to remove people from the equation, not help them.  The vast vast vast majority of robots are not designed to help people they are designed to replace them. Yes there will always be that niche exception as with everything, but 100% of the people will be competing for that niche. Then cut that in half due to nepotism and favoritism. The average person will cease to serve any purpose, that includes the thousands upon thousands who spend thousands upon thousands to get a higher education. there will be no jobs for the vast majority of  them.  For every job lost to AI or a robot how many new ones are created? It sure as hell isn't 1 to 1.

I dont care about those inferior people who get left behind. I use AI to make songs and make better YouTube channel completely made by AI. It is not my fault or AI fault that some people cant compete. Humans are only as worthy as their use value. You have no value by others outside being useful to others.

"academic jobs" are teaching a researching.

"jobs requiring degrees" are diverse. Some are ripe for replacement because they can be characterized by a fixed algorithm.

Any job that requires true intelligence is not going to be replaced by fake intelligence.

It's the people who work with their hands that are in trouble. The vast majority of those also use creativity along with their physical skills. They will need to learn how to using robots as a tool or they will be left behind.

Using robots is very easy. People use printers all the time. There will still be some jobs for stupid people.

I installed Galaxy AI Assistant on my phone, and yeah, it is awesome even on my very cheap phone. Basically AI which is always appearing on screen on all apps. Future clearly belongs to AI. It was invented 3 years ago and it already changed everything. Main issue with AI would be mass surveilance state, which it happens to directly enable. It is only a matter of time before corrupt government takes it, like they did in Iran with AI cameras which detect if woman's face isnt covered. AI isnt evil, but it will be used for evil purposes.

It will be more similar to having a roomba than a printer for about two hundred years.

No, robots will have to be made simple to use for stupid people. From the point of view of what is most necessary.
