Art is dying day by day and we can only watch.
The philosophy of art is more commonly becoming misconstrued. 

"Mastery" by Robert Greene which I started reading recently is very helpful in understanding the mastery of art--music in my case--better. 

People like to praise the artist that was emotionally-driven the whole time and crash landed at the end and amounted to very little. 

Robert Greene emphasizes focusing on valuing, and, if you are the performer, creating art that is skillful and well-developed

Carpenter is no different than any other female pop artist nowadays. Be a hoe, sing about being a hoe, dance like a hoe, and you'll be famous. That's how it is.
She at least dresses well for the most part. I was so over the Lady Gaga/Nicki Minaj trend of dressing like a literal sped and acting like it's sophisticated and the proles 'just don't get it'.

Not a huge fan of Weeknd but at least Blinding Lights got stuck in my head sometimes. This one is unremarkable imo.

Studio synthesized, same as all new music. The singer is the only talent
I write text for songs, but I cant pay 40000$ for some skilled singer to sing it in a studio and record many times until I get the good version. But I can use AI for free and most people cant tell difference between AI singer and human singer.

Quite frankly. When I compare modern music to songs of the earlier decades like the early 2000's, 90's, 80's, and 70's.
I am truly baffled by the difference, and I am inclined to agree with you.

I mean there good modern artists around but you have to be crafty brotherr. 
It’s always the same rhythm, no twists, no excitement, barely any hype. 
I mean it's true for 99.8% of artists, but for example in my opinion bands like The Marías are fire
