You always want to look at macro principle not micro principles when judging the morality of people. Freedom for example would be the most important attribute so how well somebody supports that even at the cost of their macro principles is how they should be judged and we always want to get our macro principles right

Micro principles would be things like social views political views concerning social issues for example the culture war, also small policy decisions would count as well the macro positions would be on freedom or justice with freedom being slightly more important than justice. Survival and health would be micro principles as would economics

I will call out anti white racism, the variety that is just words but it's usually only to point out hypocrisy. If a black person said white people are trying to kill him by putting gun shops next to liquor stores I wouldn't be offended because obviously not all whites own liquor stores and gun shops and for all I know the ones who do are trying to kill blacks

Some of what is debated, changes.
Some older debates on Debate.org, There was a lot more debates on Homosexuality for instance, due to various law changes in America around that time.
But it's kind of rolled past, new generation new normal, such as Gays in the US military.

LGBT might be a more of a current topic in India.

But it's interesting, different culture, different history, different norms, different debates?

I don't think we 'need people to be rude to have honest or interesting debates,
I think polite is better,
People get offended at times by rudeness, stops being about debating the topic, and instead more about slinging insults.

. . . Even if some older users tend to debate the same themes year after year,
I imagine their viewpoints have and 'are still evolving.
Maybe they've changed some views.
