I am Daryl Hannah, the 1x Victim. My justification is something like I am an actress who starred in multiple movies and that I was victimized by Weinstein.
Ya I’ve never heard of Daryl Hannah, but I admittedly live under a rock when it comes to pop culture. Y’all will have to tell me if she’s well known enough.
My major problem is with the role. It’s screams fake claim. First of all, Victim is a very uncommon role. I think I’ve used it once in my games—Mahabharata Mafia. I’ve never seen it any where else.
Second is that it’s 1x. Even in my game, I made it every night. 1x is really weird to me because the odds you even select the correct person are pretty low. It’s also pretty common for scum to have roles that are “negative” in the game.
Third, actor makes far more sense for Daryl Hannah than Anthony Hopkins since she’s basically famous for just being an actor. Hopkins has directed and produced stuff, so there’s more variety and possibility of picking roles from a balance standpoint. It’s almost a pseudo-CC just based on character.
There’s also a 4th thing that i remember about Luna’s games, but I wanna do a little research just to make sure I’m right. But ya, it definitely reads as a fake role claim and possibly fake character claim.

I honestly think it’s a mix of both. The claim has definitely pushed him to the top of my scum pile. Earth has effectively fake claimed before as scum. I forget which game specifically. But assuming it wasn’t him, I would probably say you, Mikal, Savant, or Vader.
They probably didn’t even have to use their ability to confirm a fake character or fake role tbh

The logic behind it makes sense and fact checks with the Harvey Weinstein thing, but…. There was like tons of actresses who had allegations against Weinstein so I don’t know why Daryl Hannah would be special. The role is unique though and is something I haven’t seen before. If you look at Daryl Hannah’s wiki though the thing that gets me is that the Weinstein thing is such a small blip in it, there’s so much more about her acting career and accomplishments, I just don’t see why the mod would create a whole role around the Harvey Weinstein interaction when there is so many other things he could focus on.

At this point I’m fine with a Savant lynch. I think earths role is odd and is an SOP that should’ve been claimed, but his behavior isn’t that deviated from his typical town

I agree the Earth claim is kind of scummy. Usually, 1x roles are for something powerful like kingmaker. I disagree that Earth's role necessarily should have been SOP claimed though. Regardless, Earth is probably my preferred lynch over Mikal at this point.

Don't see why scum Earth couldn't come up with that claim himself. If I had to guess a partner, it would probably just be someone else in my PoE.
I think that Earth and Savant are my top lynch targets I'm fine with either but if I'm choosing I think Savant off more behavior but I also think that Earth's claim is a bit more scummier than Savant's behavior. I am kind of willing to lynch Earth more because of this but again I'm not too mad if we choose the other. Plus with the soft I kind of think that Earth is a better target

Honestly tbh I am not really sure. Earth is always somewhat hard to read because a lot of the time it's not a lot of substance. I'd honestly have no clue tbh
I'm going to be honest. I've given it some thought, and I understand the points made against him. But something about the Earth wagon doesn't feel good to me. Maybe I'm just buying into the WIFOM too much, but I just don't think it's the type of fakeclaim he'd go for here - not just because it's an uncommon role, but also because it has that 1x modifier. Why would he choose to make himself look as scummy as possible? I feel like he could have and would have come up with something better than that.
There's also something interesting about Pie's #487. It ties into something I was hinting at earlier but no one bothered responding to for some reason. I'm trying to figure out what to make of it.

This is just WIFOM imo. Cause realistically if scum were trying to fake claim everything, it’s far easier to fake claim something that’s most likely not in the game. And as scum, you have to go with something that makes sense + fits the character. Victim is not a common role by any means. Daryl Hannah I’ve never heard of either.

1.) Has anyone even heard of Daryl Hannah before this game? I’ve never.
2.) Victim is a very safe fake claim for scum to use.
3.) 1x doesn’t make sense at all with the utility of the role in the first place.
4.) Just because the claim is shitty, doesn’t mean that scum won’t make it. Just look at WF’s claim in the previous game. It was horrible, and town rightfully called him out.
5.) Actor (Wylted’s role) makes more sense for Daryl Hannah than Anthony Hopkins. Hannah is only an Actor. Hopkins was a Director, producer, etc too.
6.) Based on #4, if Earth flips scum, then I think it basically confirms Wylted as town because if the scum team was exactly Wylted/Earth, it doesn’t make sense for Wylted to use the Actor fake claim over Earth.
