Atypical Endgame

1st place: MAFIA (Pie, savant)

2nd place: TOWN (Casey, banana, wylted, vader, mikal, earth, ultra)

Looks like you guys figured the theme out. The theme was Autistic celebrities who you probably wouldn't even know were autistic just from their accolades. I am always very impressed by ASD and find it very fascinating how many of these people are above average talented in some sort of way. I even have an autistic uncle, who has the social skills of a 14 year old, but if you ask him the score of any basketball or football game from the now through the 80's, or even a players name, he can rip it off the top of his brain flawlessly and you can fact check him, he's almost always right or very close to right. I find savants very interesting so I made this theme.

Anyways Pie and savant absolutely killed it this game. They not only had a perfect win, they both overcame adversity at several points. Both players had been under heavy suspicion at some point since day one, but through making spectacular claims, and pie correctly guessing almost every character based off of the soft claims (pretty sure the only two he got wrong was vader and mikal, and he did actually mention vader's character before he claimed it). They used night actions appropriately, and basically just rock and rolled the whole game.

Town didn't do bad either. Banana was almost MVP if she trusted her gut and copped pie/savant dp1, since they thought mikal was the cop. It was super unfortunate that she targeted the miller. Casey and vader were both half right so props there. Wylted came in clutch at the end and was the only one able to see the bus for what it was so big props there as well. Earth got fvcked pretty early, sorry earth, I felt bad for you mate, your role could have been useful for town also. Also Ultra, you were probably cooked anyway, but I would say never vote yourself as town, there is always a fighting chance. Look at pie, he claimed innocent child dp3 and wasn't revealed as one, and still managed to play and survive. You never know what people will believe if you just fight it out.

Anyways GG's all hope you enjoyed the game.

I didn't record night actions in a google doc this time since I was away from the computer through most of the night phases, and was processing night actions based off of memory on my phone, but if you have any questions about night actions just ask and i'll let you know.

Theme split was Real people vs fictional characters, probably would have been easy to figure out if either scum had died. 

Again, the scum team did a nice job. I still feel good about catching Pie based on behavior, even if I was wrong about Savant.

Okay I have to ask: Is this going to be a recurring thing where I am pushing my scum reads and get called "Over aggressive and therefor scummy" because if it is, I don't think I want to play much more. A big part of the reason I backed off of savant day phase one was because everyone was scum reading me for being aggressive, and didn't stop until I unvoted savant. Magically as soon as I unvoted savant and stopped being as active, every one town reads me... I don't blame pie and savant obviously, they were scum so it makes sense they would push this narrative, but a lot of other people were buying that logic as well, including casey and vader in day phase one. I don't want to have to be submissive all the time to play this game, and sometimes I find myself purposely trying to fade in the background as town because when I don't it doesn't go well for me. Other times its actually just inactivity on my part but still. I want to be able to pursue a scum read without being instantly told I am being scummy for it.

In the future if you ever get scum read for the same thing you can just point to this game. I do think it helped me in this game that I'd just been mislynched twice in a row, so people realized that me appearing to act scummy didn't necessarily mean I was scum.

As frustrating as it is, you just have to let people adjust to you. They can keep mis-lynching you and getting punished for it, but you just have to be yourself. Same with Earth, eventually people will have to learn not to lynch earth for dumb reasons or for not trying that hard, or we will keep getting punished for it. Once people adapt to your meta, they will treat you differently in these game. 

Honestly I’m going to have to agree. Thought I think a lot of it came from pie, which in theory he was scum so he was trying to get you mislynched, but I hate the idea of aggressiveness = scum mines that I’ve been seeing lately. You played the game the best of your abilities and even I could see you were probably town even before the flip.

As for you being aggressive, I literally town read you for being aggressive. I literally was one of like 2 people agreeing with you being town, so I’m questioning what you were seeing

For me, the hard pushing from you was more reminiscent of your scum games than your town games, but now, I think that might just be because you were generally more active and involved in your scum games. That might be the real scumtell. In any case, by the end of DP1, I was convinced you were town. 

No you are right, sorry, I think I got you mixed up with earth or ultra. I think at least two other people had mentioned it was scummy though.

You played fine. But Savant is right. You can continue to be aggressive... anytime someone scumreads you for it in the future, you can just point to this game.

I knew I would be confirmed by day phase 2, I was really just hoping I wouldn't have been forced to role claim to get said confirmation is all. I was on the brink of claiming day phase one just to get people to take me seriously lol. Btw I totally picked up that you were Elon Musk as soon as we figured out the theme, I knew there was no way you were scum.

Pie could use two JOAT abilities one night of his choosing. We role copped you as Pie suspected you might be the cop due to Elon's DOGE thing. When you turned out to be the inventor, we decided to redirect you to me so I could gain town cred. Because why would scum redirect an unknown role to themselves? But because we could use two JOAT abilities, we knew your role in advance.

Also fuck I pinged as a scum read in DP1 with savant too. Should’ve stuck to my reads and not have voted Casey. Either way scum did a good job and setting up an either / or scenario so I doubt if Pie turned scum Savant was the lynch target. only way this happened if savant was lynch and I don’t think that would’ve happened. in theory pie voting Casey instead of savant, who lied about the results should’ve been a red flag I didn’t see but oh well.

If Pie had been lynched DP3, I would have roleblocked Vader. The fact that the NK would have gone through anyway would have been enough for me to figure out who the partner really was. Very unfortunate for me, but I understand why Vader voted for me.

They used their special ability night phase one that allowed them two actions, and they rolecopped you and knew you were inventor (rolecop was the only mafia ability that I allowed to process early). They thought you were going to send the strengthener and hoped it would bypass a doctor protection. I think they thought banana was the doctor at this point.

Yeah at that point I think I was set on either / or being the team at that point. Savant did a pretty good job setting up the fake confirmation which led me to be skeptical

One thing that I saw only banana mentioned: There was a lot of investigation type roles that were claimed, watcher, comedian, innocent child, and cop. I am extremely surprised that town bought that a hypothetical scum team here would block an inventor over a watcher, in any case. But yeah I get it lol, busses are masterclass on this site, they are very hard to look past lol

Lynching Pie was actually the original plan. Before Casey voted Pie confirming it was one of them, we were gonna have Pie vs. me and then Pie scum slips or something. Apparently Jerry Seinfeld speculated he was on the spectrum once but then apologized and said he didn't actually have autism, so I was gonna beat you over the head with that since you had sussed banana and I for not being formally diagnosed. I was also gonna say your role only helped town if you asked the person to claim their role before you said what the three options were, so you must have been using your scum buddy to confirm yourself. Wylted saw through the bus initially, though, so I don't know if it would have been enough to convince him.

They do it to me too. Be careful staying friends with Mikal and Lunatic.

Nothing you can really do about people reading you wrong. As scum they are intentionally reading you wrong and town has a very high chance to read you wrong by default. I don’t think you behaving aggressively makes you seem scum. I was town reading you off that and tone. 0 chance I would have lynched you or Owen. But all you can do is play how you play and if town chooses wrong, it’s ultimately their fault. 

We didn’t lynch you for being aggressive. We lynched you for playing dumb, spamming, and lying. Also notice that I was town reading you and knew you were town when I killed you. Literally because you were a confirmed mislynch by your play style. 

That and Anna being aggressive are not even comparable lol.

For what. I was just saying the reasons are entirely different. She was playing aggressive, you continually misrepresented your role. There is a diff in that is all I’m saying. 

Honestly, that's a good point that I didn't consider. I knew I was roleblocked, and I was already townreading Savant who claimed to have the evidence confirming my suspicions, so that was enough for me. I did entertain the idea of a Savant/Pie team, but I didn't believe it because (1) Savant could have just lied about not receiving my item in order to put more suspicion on me, and (2) he could have just tried to frame Vader, and I would have fallen for it most likely. I really should have thought about what Banana not being roleblocked implied, however. I feel dumb for overlooking that.
