Yes they passed a law in California to make it child abuse for a parent to refuse this if their child requests it.

Only 1% of trans people have regrets. Compared to that, 99% of trans people who didnt have such treatment have regrets because it is much more difficult to correct body changes once you are already adult.
So regret rate is higher without treatment.
Also, you literally have to beg to get treatment. The standards are strict, and they are not just giving it to anyone who asks.

So your argument is imaginary? There were many studies about this. Rate is always around 1% after treatment happens. Without treatment, regret rate goes to over 90%, and suicides increase too. So if regret is what you are worried about, then you would be in favor of treatment, just with stricter standards. You wouldnt be completely dismissive of it. Do you think that ruining lives of trans people is okay and that their regret doesnt matter?

You have abandoned your argument now and attacked an argument no one made. I dont remember claiming that regret of 1% doesnt matter. Maybe you can quote where I said that? The only way your argument can work is if you think regret of 99% matters less than regret of 1%. As for general population, that is a false dichotomy because we are not choosing between regret of trans and regret of general population. In fact, trans people being allowed to transition has no negative impacts on general population and their regret, it even improves tolerance among general population.
