Education is generally free, you can use AI to learn anything. AI can even pilot those fighter jets.

Not really. The only difference is people's dedication. If person spent years using AI to research topics taught at university, he would basically get the same thing. There is nothing in university which isnt on internet.

I don't see the value in 'free education.
It's not 'free anyhow, costs money, just like the Raptors.
The 'Raptors 'generally speaking have a single purpose of defend one's country and dissuade one's enemies.

Free Education can be twisted, into teaching views and values contrary to ones own beliefs.

. . . Though I suppose I'm not sure what you 'mean by free education.
University?
Doesn't seem 'so valuable to me, paid trade school and internship, seems more valuable.
We 'already indoctrinate kids in Highschool and below, with basic civic values.

Free universities is why people vote for fighter jets. If they had to pay for education, they wouldn't learn irrelevant things.

I thought the premise here was that a genie pops out of nowhere and offers me totally free education, anywhere I want to study, or a free fleet of F22's.

You could take the F-22s and sell them for billions.

The premise here is: would you rather have the government fund the whole f22 programe (~60b) or free community college programe (~60b)

If you think that you are getting something for free, then you are probably being taken advantage of. With the government-provided education, first, you do pay for it with taxes (and get overcharged), and second, you learn what politicians want you to learn, not what you want to learn. Want to learn cosmology, but you happen to be ruled by Islamic theocrats who believe the Earth was created? Bad luck.

If you want to be free, then you have to live your life on your terms, and for that, you have to have resources and choose what to spend them on. If your government chooses what you "buy" and when, then you are just a kid with a nanny.

First, you will pay your taxes no matter what. why not have the free education. that would eliminate some future trump voters
Second, i do not live in the usa but we have free education in germany and i literally have never read anything about islam or god in my modules.
I doubt that would be the case in the USA considering their relations with the middle east. Especially in a serious science like cosmology.

But hey, Those f22s do look good indeed.
I hear they shoot rockets or something like that. wow wow wow!!!!!

In Europe, people go to prison for comments they post on internet. Thats the kind of a country free government controlled education gives you.

I am sorry but this is straight misinformation.
It is true that there are laws against brutal exploitations of free speech (in aaaaallllllllll developed countries. not only in germany or european countries).
We do not have government controlled education. The government provides the facilities but the literature and material is written by professional academics.
And i could argue that exploitation of free speech should indeed be punished. You can really cause harm to someone just by words.
However, this is not the topic here.
Me personally, i would rather have my government invest in education than in super-sonic-stealth-turbojet-ballistic-bullshit fighter jets that only serve the purpose of international domination and fear.
Defense is also important but the usa never fails to prove that they overspend.

I am not saying that i do not understand those who prefer jets. I like jets.

This is what European government run education gives you:

"In 2019, there was an uproar over a Madonna with a halo in the colors of the LGBTQ+ movement. All over the country, people filed criminal complaints with the public prosecutor's office against the three young women who had circulated the image. They were accused of "offending religious feelings" by portraying the Madonna in the colors of the rainbow. This is a criminal offense in Poland, punishable by up to two years in prison."

Really? I thought it was written by rabbits.

The mere fact that they were mass reported shows Poland's IQ.

Alright, lets ask ChatGPT to see who is right.

"In Germany, the selection of educational material in schools is done by the individual state governments (called Bundesländer).

Here's how it works:

1. Federal Structure
Germany is a federal country, and education is primarily the responsibility of the 16 states (Länder). Each state has its own Ministry of Education, which sets curricula, approves textbooks, and oversees schools.

2. Curriculum and Textbooks Curricula (Lehrpläne) are developed and decided by the state governments. Textbooks and other teaching materials must usually be approved by the state authorities before being used in public schools. Teachers can often choose among approved textbooks, but only within those officially sanctioned options. 3. Role of Teachers

Teachers generally have some freedom in how they teach, but they must stay within the curriculum framework set by the state and often must use state-approved materials.

4. Private Schools

Private schools (Privatschulen) have more freedom, but they still must meet basic educational standards set by the state.

Summary:

Yes, school education material is selected (or approved) by the government, but at the state level, not the federal level. Each German state decides what students learn and which materials are allowed."

Looks like I win.

Then the people who go to those schools must be really stupid, given that Germany is decades behind USA in technology.
