The Leviticus laws were replaced by the New Testament.
I mean, along those same lines, the rule-keeping of the OT is replaced by the law of Christ. Given that you seem to get that, I dont understand why you would advocate for the 10 commandments.

Also, replacing the OT laws with Jesus doesn't excuse that under the same book cover is codified chattel slavery, sexual slavery, genocide, and other horrors endorsed by the same 'perfect' deity.

Yes, but is he omni-sensible and omni-decent.

And how do you know it's male?

Okay so he rapes betrothed virgins.

Sorry i misphrased, the New Testament fulfilled the Old Testament laws, which basically took the trump over laws in the Old Testament that contradicted the New Testament. So it wasn’t replacing it, it was completing it.

He’s not a male, he’s not a female, he’s not white, so what. We just call him a ‘he’ because he is phrased in the New Testament as our Heavenly Father. And also previous writers use he pronouns to describe him, as they/them pronouns weren’t as popular back then

This answer isn't very meaningful to me, friend. The OT and the NT are both the of the same deity, are they not?

Nah, he's referred to as he because he was invented by men...Back in the day, women had very little say in the matter...And in the first instance he would have been thought of as swarthy with dark hair and beard...Though as the stories spread north and west he became more Europeanised, which is why in latter day picture bibles he resembled a west coast rock star.

Yes they are. The New Testament is a continuation of the old testament.

That is correct, but after his death the church was formed into CHRISTianity. Some jews did not partake in the new religion which are the current jews

The Jews did not want to share their religion because they believed they were the chosen people by God. Circumcision was their proof till the Muslims outnumbered them.

That avoids the question. If the OT and NT are of the same deity, then the 10 commandments has the same source as, say, exodus 21 (chattel slavery). Suffice to say, this source doesn't seem to have the best interest of humanity in mind and , as such, shouldn't be supported by secular government.

Well, it's impossible know the facts of ancient Middle Eastern society, so one can only assume certain things.

Though GOD was certainly created in mans image, and I do know from childhood experience that God was latterly depicted as European rather that Middle Eastern.

The New Testament holds greater authority, for example, in Leviticus when God was telling the Israelites that they aren’t allowed to eat unclean animals, later in Hebrew in the New Testament, the redaction stated you will not go to hell for eating those animals.

God wasn’t created by man, man was created in Gods image. I wont deny he is depicted as European, but he isn’t European.

Well more correctly Bethlehem was formerly in Canaan and later occupied by Jews from elsewhere.

Jews have a tendency to occupy.

Okay. (Assuming FTSOA it is appropriate for secular government to endorse religion) Why the advocacy for the 10 commandments of the OT, then?

If they couldn’t keep the first 10 commandments, why did God expand the laws to 613 on the Jews? Were the Jews that evil?

First, the 10 commandments were given to Moses, not a mass of people. Secondly, the first laws would have been long before the 10 commandments. Adam and Eve received commandments. Noah received commandments. Moses received a set of tablets before the 10 commandments.

So, again, if the NT holds greater authority, why advocate for a set of laws that are not among the first 3 sets?

The Jews did not fail their God, they sinned and learned how to repent and Jesus came so Gods wrath about that would be satisfied

Moses was instructed to tell it to the people below, Adam and Eve are not a mass of people, God gave the instructions to Noah specifically because he saw the good in his family, Noah invited others but they refused
