The bombing of Japan had very little to do with forcing Japan to surrender and everything to do with deciding whether Russia or USA was going to control the Pacific Ocean. Read the damn article.

Historical Japan not so peaceful.Japan and Switzerland come to mind
Swisterland peaceful because its financial holdings for people all over the world? The rich who have had old money there for many years have influence that says Swisterland is neutral as long as it has so much worlds money invested there.
Take away all of that financial influence and Swisterland would become swiss cheese in short time.
