A doctor has a similar function to a roleblocker, and GP has been a bit of a lurker in these games as well. My role could not be related to a scum role because a normal messenger role in game is always a town role. Pie has been confirmed town, and it simply does make sense to claim a role that has been related to the show w/o context of the show.
