It's not discrimination against them for their age. It's a generalization against a generation for purposeful reasons.

Boomers are the generation that screwed this country over. They inherited a booming postwar economy and milked it dry. They indulged in extreme consumerism and financial irresponsibility, barely feeling its impacts from the postwar prosperity. Then they supported economic policies that made it even worse. Oh, not to mention how they killed all traces of morality during the '60s counterculture movement.

While they ruined the economy for future generations, they continued to bleed them dry through social security.

Nowadays, Boomers laugh at younger generations for being "lazy and entitled." Ironic and hypocritical of them because they grew up in a time where college was cheap and getting a high-paying job while flunking high school was easily possible.

Ok boomer is just a way to derail a debate. I wouldn’t say it’s ageist, but it certainly is ad hominem.
