Yes. I don't think the mods ever knew how much the site needed him. Nor do I think the owner was ever appropriately grateful for his actions in helping the site establish itself.
We can always hope he will grow bored enough out there to want to return.

I concur. And RM had the winning username in my book. Very rational, in a face-pounding mild way [contradictory?] No, not in a multi-folded universe of numberless dimensions, and certainly a madman in all the right respects. In many ways though I never said it, I though of RM much like the troubling mad hermit who comes out of the mountain with a lantern, proclaiming "I seek God," and daring you to demonstrate same: the Nietzsche character.

I got the same vibe about him! And he would have loved that Nietzsche parable. I think often he went right over the heads of everyone, misunderstood and tortured for being so constantly misunderstood, but still with his humor intact.

If that is bothering you, don't let it. Up to today, I don't know if RM liked or hated me. We had minor beef, but RM had beef with just about everyone, but I never let beef blind me to a person's value to the board.

I agree to an extent, although there is a threshold where the user becomes so unbearable their contributional value doesn't outweigh the sullied user experience of everyone they target with their antics.
In RM's case, I think it was pretty clear he was a net positive force on the site.

I don't see how this makes a difference to you at all with dee dee and Willows roaming the board and you a mod.
