Monty makes wayyyyy more sense as miller 😂 literally investigated as cops and literally came up as guilty when he wasn't. Alex was literally guilty but investigated by cops and came up innocent, which would make him godfather. So I'm slightly suspicious. What's your justification?
At his core, Alex is an innocent person, who was devastated by the actions that he did. He was kind and caring in his heart. Although on the outside he seems like a monster (he is on the tapes), on the inside he is just an innocent little soul who feels genuine guilt for his wrongdoing, which leads him to shoot himself on the head.

Also, he drowned Bryce in the ocean(which seems heinous on the outside) but was doing it in an attempt to protect his friends, and felt deep regret afterwards.

Dirty and monstrous on the outside, innocent on the inside. That is why I'm miller.

That would be a rare cop indeed.

That would be a DAYCOP that can investigate DP1 and gets results immediately-  I've never seen such a role.
Also,  traditionally, COPs are the most likely role to be flavored (insane, paranoid).  Even if a COP did get a result in the first minutes of the game, that COP would be stupid to trust those results too much.

I think that miller is a genuine claim, even though it is simply helping mafia know a non-power-role (non-PR).

I read it as a suboptimal townplay as he's paranoid about being investigated. If I understand correctly, miller appears guilty to investigative roles.

I also scumread speed offering press the character claim but that further makes me townread press. Why is town going to 'offer a character' and not have the person forced to claim it? Why try to out his character and not have mafia cc it?

I don't know how to read user or crocodile, everything they've done would be done also by noob town as much as noob mafia. I also don't know how 'delicate' we are. What I mean is that in games where the town lacks saving roles and has investigative roles instead, you're better off all hiding whereas in games where it's easy to assume a saving role is around, it's almost always optimal to spearhead outs and cc's.

Given the theme, I will assume that 'appearing guilty' (miller claim contributes to this theory, not just the theme) and 'appearing innocent' are part of the game. I warn all to think twice before trusting investigative results.

I don't think it's a sub-optimal town play. Claiming miller at the start is much more believable than if someone claimed miller after a cop said they were guilty, which would be the sus-est thing ever.

at the same time as being sus, why would mafia not counterclaim the PR or miller? Also, why would they not say "I am miller and here are the breadcrumbs I left to hint it earlier"? This is all pointless speculation as it is so early on that it doesn't look planned or situational at all.
