then who's going to do all the cheap and dirty manufacturing work that "Americans" just  aren't  interested in any more.

So pay more for that kind of work. Easy fix for a retarded 1 solution mindset.

Greta is as Greta does....To be taken seriously and not to be taken too seriously.

Why are you fixated on a 17 year old Swedish school girl?

#31.

Nope.    It just doesn't work like that....

Pay more = cost more.... Which isn't what the consumer wants...The consumer will happily buy cheaper Chinese imports.

Geoengineering is cheap and doesn't require hundreds of nations to all agree. Too bad people are too chicken to do it.

I dunno...seems like the consumer is pissed about not being employed anymore. looks like 40 years of outsourcing has its own price. Make China great again isn't actually popular anymore.

Just ask Biden about that.

That's why we have tarriffs. If you wanna support China and you wanna see China great again, you can pay a sin tax for that.

How's that  for cheap stuff?

i do support targeted protectionism... which is the liberal goal, remember. but i dont support full scale trade wars. some people say trump is just playing hard ball to get what he wants, but he's even said if china wants to walk away from negotiation, he's cool with an indefinite trade war. that's not cool

The alternative is appeasement and getting your elected politicians paid to shut up about China.

Absolutely not cool.

that's not the only alternative. traditional conservatives support free trade, traditional liberals support targeted protectionism... only trump supports a full scale trade war. that means we have two general alternatives here. laissez fair trade, or targeted protectionism. this second one sounds much more moderate, reasonable, and such.

Fuck China, and if the trade war hurts China, fuck them.
