I personally enjoy PF. LD is confusing and CX is just weird.
Y'all do PF, LD or CX?

I've done PF, LD, Congress, and Big Question

@MisterChris
What's big question?
-->
@BearMan
"Big Questions is a debate format supported by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. High school and middle school students will grapple with complex worldview questions as they debate both sides of the 2020-2021 resolution,"
The format is close to LD/PF, and the topic typically focus on hyper-philosophical crap. For ex, last year's topic was "Resolved: Objective morality exists."

It seems like PF, but the conclusions are a bit weirder.

Oh, come on. Philosophy is awesome.
-->
@SirAnonymous
It is, but in my experience with the event... let's just say holding a philosophical debate is difficult with people who do not understand the concept to begin with.
-->
@MisterChris
That would be a problem.
-->
@MisterChris
"I am, therefore I don't need to think." Now that's philosophy!

“Choose old people for enemies. They die. You win.”

@MisterChris
I disagree. Old age and treachery with defeat youth and skill with ease.

THE LOST 13TH COMMANDMENT OF MOSES
"Thou shalt make thy thoughts clear over text."

@MisterChris
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, if ever my thoughts do not seem clear, then thou can be sure they are in jest.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, I am tired of writing formally

“Choose old people for enemies. They die. You win.”
This has to be the worst advice to give anyone both morally and strategically. Depending on which old person your cowardly ass picks on, you will have made a wise, inescapable enemy that will show no mercy and has nothing left to lose.
-->
@RationalMadman
Gee, thanks for debunking that, no seriously, here's a medal
-->
@RationalMadman
May I be so bold as to refer you to the lost 11th commandment of Moses?

He just unfriended me, lol
I competed in Lincoln Douglas in all 3 years of high school. I did humerous, dramatic, and duo interp on the side. I did pretty well at local tournaments, but I went to NATCAT in Omaha on got absolutely destroyed lol. I thought I was a good debater until that happened, then I realized Utahns probably just aren't that smart.
Regardless, I love LD for its philosophical takes on socio-political issues, and it was ultimately what I think made me more open minded in general. I would get a topic and say "There's no way I can ever argue pro for it" and by the end of the debate season, could completely switch my stance. Being forced to debate both sides of an issue really made me see the world through a different lens, and made me question what I thought I knew.
LD changed my life in a pretty meaningful way.

I loved both LD and PF for those reasons. Congress and Big Questions were more... meh

Yeah for real. Don't know why he took it so hard.

Never had Big Qusetions in my debate team, that must be a newer format. Did one congress, I hated it lol.
Yeah for real. Don't know why he took it so hard.
I've noticed RM mis-understands social cue's a lot. Dark humor is awesome, though it's obviously not meant to be taken seriously. One of my favorite reddit threads is R/cursedcomments

My school only offered Policy and Congress
