Core ideas can survive, where the people and organizations die.
Religious or not, people need foundations within, to act one way or another.

Sometimes, all you can say about a day is “bruh.”

Or just reference Limp Bizkit

I’ve been listening to Johnny Cash a lot recently. I’ve never liked country music before, now I’m wondering just how much peak I missed out on

I don't care for a 'lot of country music,
But I 'do 'some country music a lot.

@NoBodyInParticular
Couple Aztecs debating Ritual War, The Flower Wars,
One notes how much the other tribes hate them,
Other says yeah, but barring some unforeseen externally caused incident, we will have a very bright future, here in Mexico.
. . . Wooden Ship with Spanish Flag and some type of Spanish theme appears on horizon.

Couple Americans debating Constant War, American Interventionalist,
One notes how much some countries hate them,
Other says yeah, but barring some unforeseen externally caused incident, we will have a very bright future, here on Earth.
. . . Spaceship with Spanish Flag and some type of Spanish Space theme appears on horizon.
. . .

Hm, I'm not sure it 'really works as a joke though,
I assume lots of people 'Like America, even if some don't.
. . .

Hm, maybe  a Jade Empire video, analyzing the types of arguments in that one debate.

@AdaptableRatman
I am not sure where to put this, so I put it here.

I would end up conforming, or end of quietly resigning,
Depending on how greatly policy differed from my own views.
I would not attempt to mod contrary to directions of the owners or main mods.

I dislike to be on a website that bans Hitler pics or discussions of Holocaust denial,
Though I don't care for Holocaust denial myself, I don't want people afraid of having a dialogue.
. . . Besides, people who engage in Holocaust Denial, would likely trip up in some other way, and be banned legally, though much of the motivation might be disliking their view or manners.

I think you make 'excellent arguments that the laws of other nations should be considered by DART laws.
But I will have to think on it.
Something I 'value in DART, is the interaction with people 'contrary to my own views.
Attempts to conform to 'all countries laws, I suspect might be 'impossible, or end up with an 'excessively bland site, with little of 'anything possible to say.

@Lunatic
Reminder: This thread is for voting only. No further discussions. - David #27

"What do you consider "bullying"? Because there is a certain member here who loves to throw rocks, and then call you a bully for retaliating in anyway. It's his favorite word and he uses it as if there's a genie who is granting him a quarter every time he uses it and he is trying to make his living this way. I am sure you know who I am talking about. But anyways, what exactly is bullying? Since you are applying to be a moderator, I think this  is important to know. "

BrotherDThomas (Not Active anymore)
I would have supported banning due to their spamming of insults, and not being 'obvious enough a parody.
Though I'm not 'sure I would have called that 'bullying.

No 'immediate examples of bullying on this site occur to me,
Not to there have not 'been any, I just don't usually dwell on them.
'Mostly, people can handle themselves fine, and aren't asking for the other person to be banned.

I don't think I'd ban people for callout threads, but might support deleting such a thread, and ask that they not 'make callout threads,
'Possibly support further action if they 'keep making callout threads.

Makes me wonder what Larz is up to these days
Larz had a great site, he just sold it wrong by sh1tting on DDO rather than appealing to it.

What options are there other than DebateCraft, if this site goes down?
Though I am doubtful that this site will go down.
. . .
Hm, I don't want a repeat of the name Lemming, but I don't much care for the name DebateCraft. Sounds 'kiddy to me.

I proposed freedebate.

But if the site’s gonna restrict speech as much as it plans, it’s not a fitting name

How do RPGs differentiate between samurai and knights?
At a glance, they kinda just seem the same to me. Though I suppose samurai 'might have used bows more.
Ronin=Knight Errant?
Samurai=Knight?
????????=Death Knight?

Soup seems an easy dish,
Just a bunch of ingredients in a pot, stir it all up.

Mmm, pizza soup, cheeseburger soup.
'Might be too greasy, I 'have heard of taco soup though.

Might as well just eat the cheese burger and the pizza.

Unless you have no teeth or suffer from dysphagia.

Heh, maybe one just wants to water down their food, as some people water down their wine.
To make it less strong, or to extend the amount one has of it.

I like Clam Chowder, don't think I've ever eaten more 'solid versions of clam.

@NoOneInParticular
Dysphagia is a medical term for difficulty swallowing.

Another bathroom spider was waiting for me yesterday. Right beside the shower drain. Legs splayed. Still as the night. Laying in wait for my naked flesh. Like a fool I disrobed before stepping in. Stupid. Stupid. Remain fully clothed, pull back shower curtain, check, always check. The enemy is cunning. The enemy is relentless. The enemy could get water in so many places, but chooses this, the place of our vulnerability, our safe space, the bathroom, to find its hydration. Why? Terror. To sow terror. We must be vigilant. Always vigilant.

With the existence of computers, tablets, or even just handheld phones.
Are school and college 'paper books so important?

Surely a PDF is cheaper than a 'book?
And unlike a book cannot be damaged?

Would it be better if schools focused on 'one subject a day?
Or perhaps 'fewer subjects a day?

P.E. for example, seems an every day subject.
Cooking and money management, an every day subject.
Though now I'm seeing them all branch out a bit (Math), just 'living is a repetition and use of knowledge.

But in school, one has some ten subjects a day, 10 different subjects to learn, memorize, homework, study for tests.
. . .

I suppose one could try 'combining some subjects.
Math can be written out in words and stories, contain history within.

The Stella Liebeck suit was in 1994. The manufacturers of any car of 21st century make which doesn't include a cupholder ought to be held fully liable for whatever damages are sustained as a consequence of this fact.
