Yes, math drills can be very helpful when used correctly, as they build foundational skills, speed, and accuracy, which in turn frees up mental energy for more complex problem-solving. However, they are most effective when balanced with conceptual understanding and not used in isolation.
What makes something 'canon?
I prefer headcanon sometimes.

Who has authority over canon?
If an author edits a work 10 years later, why should the 'new version be canon?
Suppose the author sells the work to someone else and they edit it into a new version, why is the new version canon?
Canon cannot be retroactive, cannot be retconned.
The original stands by itself,
Whatever is not stated in a version, is not canon per that version.

The West often has certain ideas of God/s that are not 'uniform in history or worldwide.
Some people fear death and the weakness of flesh, resent death and various diseases.
Transhumanism will only rise with time, assuming tech continues to improve.
Theoretically it would be possibly to 'create a God an/or leader, judge.
Who holds the majority of power, who 'has great power.

Automate 'every aspect in society you can, while passing on the savings back to the people.

In particular I think, under no circumstances, should an AI be able to rewrite its own code.

Seems a bit similar to allowing AI to write 'any code?
But then, maybe more chance for unpredictability if an AI can recode itself.
Writing code for something else, would always be set.
Rewriting it's 'own code, the unpredictability and magnitude maybe is greater.
AI could be dangerous to a person,
Or 'break itself, I suppose?
