I recently proved my 12 year old dog recognises himself in the mirror. We got young pups running around the place too and one of them loves to watch TV, like sees everything, but my old dog had never seemed to see anything. Never once reacted to the TV, never reacted to animal noises put on the phone, nothing. Everyone thought he was either blind, deaf, or stupid. But recently when I go home I've been going for walks in the evenings with my uncle, and I bring my dog along on those walks, he loves them. So I'd answer the phone to my uncle in the evening and he'd tell me he'd call soon for the walk, except I always put my phone on loud speaker taking calls, just easier, and here's my old dog stuck to my heels the second he hears my uncle's voice. I said wait a minute. This dog's not stupid, he's just bored. So I got this big hall mirror and I put it down on the floor and took his bed and put it down in front of it. He sat in it and I turned him so that he was facing the mirror. And then I'm behind him and I'm waving my hands back and forth behind his head and his eyes are following my hands in the mirror. I'm saying his name and he's looking at my face reflected in the mirror. I got to pinch his ears (I like to annoy him) and he turns and gives a little snap. Like he knew that was him. He knew I was behind him. My dog is clever as shit, or I don't know what it means for an animal really, but he recognises the shit out of himself in the mirror for sure. He's just bored as hell.

All that said, it's a damn shame we now have a dude who fucks animals on this website. I dunno if I can much stomach that. 

Many people say dogs don't pass the mirror test, tells you what kind of geniuses call themselves animal psychologists. As for your stomach, try some tums and if those don't work maybe some introspection because you wouldn't have puppies if dogs didn't fuck.

Morals cross over into human-made laws --see war crimes of unethical treatment of soldiers ex torture--- ex it was agreed in some wars pre-1960, to not shoot red-cross workers or those in white hats, who were removing injured soldiers from battle field and to take prsioners those who raised their hands in surrender.

That kind of more moral/spiritual behaviour began to change during Vietnam etc.  Totally gone now.  All is truly fair in love and war now.
