*sigh* honestly, while I find this backtracking from Earth to be fully anti-town (the claim is all the more frustrating because we can’t test it in any way and now that scum know about it, he’s not even a good off-target for the NK), I think this kind of decision would not make any sense for scum. Only way this works is if the person he’s in chat with has been haranguing him this whole time, and he felt his play was so bad that he had to do something drastic. I don’t see Earth making that kind of play.
I agree with Luna’s reasoning on Speed. Saw him as scummy for it during the last DP, still do now.

I want you guys to walk me through the scum dialogue here, and present for me a scum team that makes sense with earth if you are going to board this wagon.
What type of conversation happens in the scum PM where Earth's partner tells him to change his claim from bodyguard to bulletproof? Which person on this player list would even encourage that? Poly? Who else? In what world does him admitting to messing up his role from bodyguard to bulletproof make sense?
Also if there is a healer at this point would you not agree that it is viable to just bite the bullet and claim so we can seal the deal with earh? Does the fact that that is not happening make any difference to you? Did you see that wylted said he can help confirm this player? Did you not believe him or is wylted his scum partner?
