At any-rate the point I'm making is that Dershowitz's opinion is not a legal consensus, and that from a legal standpoint there is a good case to be made that Comey's firing was obstruction.

Since the supreme court is already stacked, the consensus won't be in the radical left's favor.

with regards to this issue, I hope the socialist I mean democrats get what they want, a Pence presidency will surely make many more heads explode, they could learn so much from old sayings, like not crying wolf (racism etc) or in this case be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.

I mean, the damage is already done at this point. No sane politician can ever win an election on open borders, and the SCOTUS is locked up for the rest of my natural life.

Who holds the FBI accountable for malfeasance?
I think we should all be able to agree, probably not people being investigated by the FBI.
Why not? Seems like those victims would be the people most motivated to expose malfeasance.

So much for that fantasy that the government, and by extension...all the alphabet agencies... are accountable to the people. The things people teach kids these days...

This is easy.

Trump didn't do anything illegal. His only fault here, is he hired a bunch of idiots. Just cause people around Trump is getting caught and are actually guilty, doesn't mean Trump is. Nevertheless, Trump will not get serve. Throw out the impeachment talks. Won't happen!

I'm kind of confused. Do you think that when the FBI was investigating Al Capone, Capone should have been given power over the investigation? I'm not saying Trump is Al Capone -- just wondering how you could justify applying that policy to any FBI investigation.

Because at some point, if the people are upset at how the FBI is being handled, there should be some mechanism for the people to reform/replace people in the FBI. That's the founding father's spirit when they crafted the constitution to safeguard democracy.

Of course there exists that mechanism, but it's not talked about for obvious partisan reasons.

Put it this way....imagine that the many migrants (instead of Capone and his sympathizers upset with how the FBI can take down anyone arbitrarily with perjury traps) were upset at ICE...where is the mechanism for these people and their supporters to reform ICE? It's the same mechanism for reforming the FBI.
