The Jews basically invented Christianity because they had been getting their asses handed to them by the Roman's and they needed some allies they could use as cannon fodder. The following article explains;

Recall that the Jews were a minority in Palestine at that time — as, of course, were the Romans. The majority consisted of the indigenous Palestinian masses, along with any incidental Egyptians, Syrians, Phoenicians, Persians, Greeks, and so on, who lived in the region. The masses were neither Roman nor Jewish. And of course, they weren’t yet Muslim; that religion would not exist for some 600 years. They would have adhered to a grab-bag of pagan traditions: Zoroastrianism, cults of Adonis and Mithras, Sibylline cults, and various sun-worshipping religions. These sects were generally ill-defined, superstitious, and highly mythological in nature.

The Jews knew this. And they also knew that, in order to make an impact on Roman rule, they would have to get the superstitious masses on their side. But this was a big problem. The masses were not intrinsically anti-Roman. In fact, more likely the contrary. From their viewpoint, when the Romans moved in, it was more or less a change in government. And for the good: the masses generally disliked the Jews anyway, and the Romans brought with them many advancements in civilization. So the Jews had a big problem: How to win the masses over to their side, and turn them against Rome?

Clearly they could not make them ‘Jewish.’ Judaism wouldn’t permit it, the ethnic and racial exclusivity of the Jews wouldn’t allow it, and the masses would never go for it, even if they could. All of Judaic tradition, from the Torah to the Talmud, was geared towards manipulating and exploiting the inferior Gentiles. The Jews would never have dreamt of mass conversion.

Therefore, something else was required: a new way, a new outlook, a new worldview — something to subtly and perhaps subconsciously bring the masses into opposition with the Romans, and on the side of the Jews. Not Judaism, but something Jewish in essence. A new story, a new moral system, and yes, a new religion: Christianity.

There is actually a series of stories that describe how Judaism created Christianity and it isn't exactly how your source describes it. In a nutshell, according to these stories, the first people to follow Jesus were Jews and seemed exactly like all the other Jews except for the stuff stemming from Jesus belief. The actual Jews were concerned about this because the Jesus followers would trick Jews into worshipping with them and would convince the real Jews that it is ok to follow Jesus. So the Jews got together and one guy volunteered to go undercover and get all the Jesus followers to adhere to a different set of rules. There is a lot more, but that's a good start.

Wylted's source here is National Vanguard, founded and led by Kevin "Weenie" Strom.  National Vanguard is made up of outcasts from the Klan's National Alliance and was on its way to being one of the larger Klan organizations in the mid-2000s until Weenie went down for child pornography and grooming a 10 year old girl.  Why so many white supremacists end up also being pedophiles is uncertain.  I guess  both impulses give weak men some secret sense of dominion they can't enjoy in regular society.

For sure....Religion is a human invention.

And Jew, Roman etc are also human inventions, relative to human inventions, relative to perceived differences relative to regional separation  and acquired cultural behaviour etc.

We haven't really moved on much in this respect have we?

Overthink allows us to fly to the Moon and also compels us to fight and squabble over our invented earthly differences.

For a reason perhaps.

A new story, a new moral system,

All sounds very familiar. 'Build back better'. 'New normal' . 'The great reset'

and yes, a new religion:

Corporations are the new gods of the new millennium. And government their priests. Don't be surprised if government decide to reset the clock to the year zero. It's not as if this hasn't happened before, is it?

National Vanguard is completely wrong here. The Bible is explicitly clear that Christ WAS accepted by everyone in Palestine...except the Jews. So why would Jews invent a religion that is outright anti-Semitic in it's attitude. (synagogue of satan).

Also, Christianity respected Roman rule, and it didn't try to undermine it unlike the jews. You should read up on Paul's letters.

If the jews did invent Christianity, then surely Christians would have been more favorable to them, but only protestants have in the last 500 years.

Plus, if this was true than the goal utterly failed as Roman rule would continue in the province for quite some times, and the jews would get eternally bodied in 70 AD.

Except Christianity did NOT install a progressive NWO onto the people. It actually changed the sexual attitudes of late stage rome from a degenerate shitshow where men were allowed to rape slave boys into a moral, beautiful system.-LINK

There's nothing more satisfying than watching  anti-semitic Christians talk about how s***** the Jews are, yet they worship their God. They stole their God. If it wasn't sickening and despicable it would be hysterical.

The earliest Christians were harshly persecuted by their Jewish neighbors.

The most likely outcome of persecuting this new sect was its eradication, not its spreading to Gentiles. Even if in hindsight that's not what happened, there was simply no way to have known this at the time. Thus, if (hypothetically) there were such a plan, the overwhelming majority of the Jewish population couldn't have been let in on it. These few (hypothetical) conspirators, in turn, couldn't have been very powerful if they failed to dissuade their fellow Jews from said persecution.

In the end, anyhow, Christianity united the civilization of the Roman Empire around both the spiritual and political authority of Rome, which went more or less unchallenged for another thousand years after the Western Roman Empire fell. Palestine remained in Christian Byzantine hands, and firmly out of Jewish hands, until the Muslim conquests of the mid-7th century.

It was all just people doing stuff at the time, relative to intellectual and social evolution.

Trouble is Doc.....We read too much into it.

Men were allowed to rape slave boys.
As the Bishop said to the alter boy.

Sounds like the degenerate shitshow that is the Roman Catholic Church.

LOL @ Wylted.

Christianity in my view is the legitimate successor of OT and ancient Hebrew religion.

Jesus was the promised messiah, and his death and resurrection ushered in the age to come.  A Church Age which will continue until the second Advent.

Interestingly, the Old Covenant with Israel was taken from them and given to the Church because the Jewish nation rejected Christ.

The Church commenced as a Jewish sect and then embraced the new age bringing in Gentiles from every land. Pentecost the symbolic picture of this in the NT.

When the temple was destroyed in AD 70, the Jewish culture and religion which had been struggling with all of these events and its rebellion since Christ came, effectively brought the Old covenant of Jewish religion to an end.  No more temple, no more sacrifices, no more links to history with all of its records destroyed in the temple. It's heart and soul was ripped out.

Christianity of course - was able to continue since its teachings included specifically an everlasting sacrifice provided by God himself. In a temple - of people not stones.

The Jewish people were in a dilemma. What shall we do?  Of course the Jewish people are resilient. They have had times in the past where the temple has been waylaid and even destroyed. But this time was different.  Other times this destruction was the result of their rebellion against God - they knew it.  And eventually they repented of their sins and came back to God.

But what sin had they committed this time? What rebellion was so bad it warranted the destruction of their temple again? That's the difference.  They couldn't see it. Instead they blamed the Romans and the Christians - and couldn't see their own sin - the rejection of the Messiah.

So since that time the Jewish people have had a religion - but different from the past.  I suggest this new type of Jewish religion is a cult as well. Only it is actually younger than the Christians. That's probably a little provocative.

Christianity is the older brother cult of the ancient Hebrew religion. The modern Jews are the younger brother.  The Christians however embraced God's covenant with Abraham - father of nations. A world wide religion encapsulating all nations.  Christ came and broke down the walls of division.  The Jews on the other hand tried to remain as national as possible.

Historically, the Jews have remained a pariah to the world. Sadly, many Christians have spoken ill of Israel and the Jews. At times, people have arisen to try and destroy and wipe the Jewish people of the face of the planet.  Sometimes Christians, pathetically and wrongly have helped.

Yet God has a plan for the Jewish nationals. He has not revoked his plans for them.

In a way Wylted is correct, if the Jews had not rejected the Messiah, then the Gentiles would never have been blessed as they have been.  They didn't invent Christians. God alone can take credit for this. Yet without this initial rejection of the Messiah, the world would be in a very dark place.  The Jewish rejection gave the world light.

Yet, God has not finished with the Jews. Their repentance and return to God will bring about a much greater blessing to this world.  But we are not even close to this. the Jews continue to reject the Messiah.  They have no intention of accepting Jesus. They have all the reasons to maintain their indifference to the church.

Yet the Jewish people are not foolish. They have a covenant theology.  They see where God blesses and where God removes blessing.   It has happened in their own history. They have wondered when they saw it in others.

But hey that is my two cents.

For sure....Religion is a human invention.

We haven't really moved on much in this respect have we?
In political terms, we are absolutely moving backwards when it comes to religion-based beliefs driving our laws.

But in general, religion is based on the hope of an afterlife or the hope/fear of supernatural intervention by some unseen entity in our lives (either rewarding us or punishing us - our need for a parental figure in adulthood).

I envision death as a raging waterfall and we humans as occupants in tiny rowboats. At first we are way upriver and everything is calm. But we are steadily moving toward more and more turbulent waters.

Religious people (to me anyway) are unafraid of the turbulence because they believe their spirit, complete with intact personality, will be magically lifted from their bodies as they plummet to their deaths (to live in some imagined utopia called Heaven).

I am headed for the same waterfall. But I would rather do everything in my power to slow down the boat, to thrash and fight, to grab a branch (including science and quantum wierdness) - and even to jump into the water and try to swim to shore - rather than sit calmly in my tiny boat and believe in magic.

But that is just me.

Just because people believe that their spirit leaves their body when they die and goes on doesn't mean they want to f****** die right now. So sick of f****** atheist thinking they can comment on what the thoughts of theist are when they have honestly and sincerely taking no time to ask a genuine question about how people feel about things. It's not God damn magic. Energy never ceases to exist that's all a spirit is is energy just like everything else. If you don't know what the f*** you're talking about don't talk about it.

And Poly is an expert.

Well, an expert with the "F" word.

For me, death is the end of life and the breaking down of matter into it's component parts.

Though nothing wrong with assuming otherwise.

Evolved intellect, mental ability and imagination, is such that we can assume otherwise.

And I like you and Poly, actually have no idea if any aspect of our physiology persists after death, other than it's basic components.

Components that are the basic structure of all matter.

. If you don't know what the f*** you're talking about don't talk about it.

Why are you so reluctant to talk about what it is that you believe, Witch?

The last time I aired my own beliefs, you mocked them and me only for it to eventually turn out that you believed exactly the same as I. 🤣

Would you like reminding of your hypocrisy and double standards, Witch?
