I am listening/watching to this garbage as I sit at the laptop.

The garbage of humanity being televised for money and others entertainment is just disgusting.

Money for violence on television.

Wow.

Discuss.

Now we have the late night show, which is equally unentertaining.

Trust me, things haven't gotten any better since the 90s.

There's a game show, that's either on TV today or was just a couple of years ago, in which a pregnant woman agrees to have the contested paternity of her child announced publicly. The result is usually that she bursts out into tears and runs off to cry somewhere; when this happens, a camera crew follows her and broadcasts her reaction to the world.

You don't get to decide what is funny or not. People watch it and when nobody cares about it, they die out. In this case, I assume this series was in the 90s and didn't even last 10 years or more. That is the reason. Some collections of TV are still being chased after by 2022, this is one that died out.

You're talking about The Maury Povich Show, right?

That and the Jerry Springer talk show were the first to come to mind. Those dysfunctional displays I suspect were by design.

Are video games and movies free? They can show violence. Should we not allow documentaries that show the atrocities of war? Why do people think because they don't like something or they won't engage in something it should just be illegal and no one should be allowed to participate in it.

The subject is about reality television from the 90s that profited off the misery of others, to include violence, that then spawned more ridiculous reality shows. Not movies and/or video games.

There's newer programming specifically dedicated to disputed paternity and the emotional reactions of the mother upon the results being announced. I wasn't aware that this was also a thing in the 90s.
