“We investigated ourselves and have found no evidence of our wrongdoing”.

If I had to guess, someone working under Sotomayor. She seems to be the lib with the least regard for the judicial process and American traditions

Other peoples traditions are not necessarily your traditions, and vice versa.

For example, for some abortion is a tradition and for others it is not.

Also leaking is also a tradition.

A tradition can be anything that becomes a reasonably commonplace occurrence.

Or just something that an individual does habitually.

Zedvictor4, traditionally does sudoku puzzles when sitting on the toilet.

When to start the tradition clock?

The 5th amendment is kinda a more important tradition than sudoku.

Well, presumably the 5th amendment was only implemented once.

So not really a tradition as such.

Just a one off, as it were.

yep, no actual process in America. The law is whatever anyone feels what it is that day. That's the new tradition.

Leaking Supreme Court decisions isn’t common enough that it could be considered a tradition

Most of the nations south of the USA have long traditions of corruption.

Diversity is strength.
All traditions are equal.

Whatever Orwellian quote applies.

How is that obvious? It is just as reasonable to presume it was a republican. There was a report that one of the justices who voted to overturn Roe was considering changing their mind and the leak was to pressure that individual to stick with their original position

And power corrupts.

It's a tradition.

We should be used to it by now.

There’s an interesting theory that someone on the conservative side actually leaked it. The reason for this would be to pressure the squishes on the court not to back down and soften the decision. If they were leaning towards doing that, doing so after there’s a public uproar and severe pressure would make them less likely to do so. Changing the opinion after it had been leaked would prove that the court is not independent but answers to political pressure. I don’t know if I believe it but it’s an interesting theory
