I think that the current spat is more about the persistent Palestinian rocket displays.But for sure Israel isn't strong on secularism, so is a tad blunt with it's ideological oppression.Though the same could probably be said for the other lot if they got the chance.
The current Israeli government is run by fundamentalists that want it to become a theocratic dictatorship. A majority of Israel’s populace is against this. Meany Israelis are secular and want this conflict to stop.

Most Israelis may be “secular” but they still support racist apartheid over the Palestinians. Secular Israelis don’t follow all tenets of Judaism in their life, though they definitely consider themselves to be as part of the “master race.” Judaism is just part of their ethnic identity, which they consider themselves to be superior for.
Many Israelis want the conflict to stop, but the vast majority of them still want apartheid and oppression over the Palestinians. They only want peace terms that will benefit them and screw over Palestinians.

Well before the latest escalation, the transit of most goods was banned. Gazans couldn’t get construction materials to repair the apartment blocks, power plants, water treatment facilities, hospitals, schools, mosques and churches that Israel bombed repeatedly — in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2021.
Emergency medical permits were often denied, leaving many Gazans to die without care.
Electricity was already limited. A 72-year-old woman in Gaza told a reporter last January, “It is hard to imagine, but we used to experience 24 hours of electricity each day in Gaza; now we are lucky if we get six.”
Water was already unavailable except for expensive purchases from Israeli water companies. And food has long been scarce — by the age of 2, 20 percent of Gaza’s children are already stunted.

The entirety of the land is rightfully Palestinian. Israelis should either respect that and give up their country to an Arab Palestinian state, or they can leave back to Europe. A two state solution is bad but would be much preferable to the current situation. Even if a two state solution occurs, Israelis must forfeit all historical heritage and pilgrimage sites of Palestine that they’ve seized. Israelis don’t deserve a state after everything they’ve done.
Unfortunately Israel is not open to even a two state solution. Ideally it should be resolved peacefully, but since Israel is using all means necessary to preserve and enforce its apartheid state - that means Tel Aviv should be glassed.
If they drop their weapons and give up, then I am 100% in favor of resolving this peacefully.

They allowed the Israelis to have a place in an Arab Palestinian state, and would even be granted autonomy in regions where they constituted a significant population. Yet the selfish Israeli Zionists decided that wasn’t enough and took up arms against Palestine to establish an apartheid state.
