Tell me:
1. What, exactly, is your definition of virtual rape of pregnant women?

2. How many annual pregnancies are due to actual, physical rape, that it should be a major point of discussion, let alone virtuals?
Answer: There are approx 167M fertile women in US. Of them, approx 32,100 are raped annually.  About 20% of them, about 6,500, result in pregnancy; about 0.008%. Your "virtual rapes?"  How many abortions do virtual rapes cause? So, perhaps the greater consideration ought to be the alarming number of unwanted pregnancies due to failed contraceptives, when the going rate for successful abstinence always has been and always will be 100%. Meanwhile, failed contraceptives result in half of all abortions each year, about 400,000. Now, that is what is clueless.

1. Who do you think pays the larger volume of taxes now? Min wage folks? Give me a laugh break
2. Are you okay with a goal of having just min wage? Lo ball, but expected of you.
3. Exactly what has Biden won, particularly since taking office, where the rubber meets the road? He can't even find the road.
4. What's wrong with 8B people? The Earth has resources enough and to spare. What we have is not a population problem. We have a resources distribution problem. For example, all the flooding that occurs in the Mississippi basin? Did anyone ever think building an aqueduct to the southwest from the confluence of the Missouri to Mississippi would provide water to the southwest while controlling flooding in the basin? The saved cost of continual repair from flooding would pay for several aqueducts.
5. Short stick? Look to your own stick, my friend. It's the one in your hand now. No, not that one; doesn't qualify. Don't worry about anyone else's. They'll take of it. It's time personal responsibility had a stage entrance again.
6. [not 7 - don't get ahead of yourself. Sorry, too late] Who's ratings? Putin's? What a surprise. Don't you know that polls, political polls in particular, are manipulated to the results they convey? If Putin is so tough, why did he need Biden's approval, of all people, to build his damn pipeline? what a weenie. That applies to both of them. Putin, shirtless, and Biden,. not hairless. He said so, and Putin showed so. God, at least Trump keeps his shirt on.
7. Privacy. Uh-huh. Show me the word in the Constitution. Don't bother, it doesn't exist. Not to mention that a woman's privacy ends with her body. A fetus is not part of her body. There's no DNA match to the placenta, amniotic sac and its fluid, the umbilical, and the fetal body between mother and fetus. She is like a fist holding a pingpong ball. Turn the fist, open the fingers; the ball does not stay in the hand, does it? By your thinking, her tongue should fall out when she opens her mouth. Really?

Yeah, backward Joe, as ever. Never did have a good policy about anything, even from 48 years ago. By his thinking, his mantra should be Build Back Worse, because his thinking is far from better.

four year-long national nightmare of Donald Trump'
Sorry about your four years. I profited big-time, but then I invest in my future, and always have. And I never had a min wage job because I've bewen sufficiently skilled since I was 15 to command higher pay. I don't live paycheck to paycheck.  My money works for me, and I started that in my early 20s; I don't need to work for it, anymore, but I still do anyway because I enjoy what I do. God bless America, where I have freedom of choice, and take advantage of my choices. Let me know when you run out of food. I freeze dry, and have over three-years worth. I even have a year's supply of paper clips and rubber bands. And that way, I really don't need to worry who is in the Oval, now, do I? I enjoyed listening to Trump, laughing to the bank, and to Biden, just laughing, period.

It's called expect the best, and prepare for the worst.  The best political strategy there is.

Yes, and, I am already starting to see the effect of emptying shelves at stores. Did you see the video of container cargo ships off-shore from Long Beach and L.A. because the harbors do not have the workers needed to empty and process their holds? Looks like under the International Bridge at Del Rio, TX, filled with campground illegals. One net effect of shutdowns and Biden giving away more cashto people to stay away from work, leaving help wanted poster collecting dust.

In principle, I agree with all you've said.

I only started feeling indoctrinated, rather than taught, in a late high school history class, when the teacher objected to my firm and supportable position that the US was not the aggressor in WWII. Curiously, he didn't want to talk about Viet Nam much. Being an avowed pacifist [whereas, I was, then a bit of a hawk, though very disappointed in our prosecution of Viet Nam], I didn't doubt his attitude on WWII. He would not comment on, and disagreed with Reagan's mantra, peace though strength, which I support. Then in college, knowing I was an avowed theist, I had a philosophy professor who guaranteed I would be an atheist before the semester was done. In the end, I nearly converted him!

Yeah, the man behind the curtain doesn't even have a curtain to hide behind anymore.

The second coming has a reason why it's described as being like a thief in the night. That means  woke journalism will not be around to see it, let alone report on it, And any attempt to pre-empt the broadcast by creating a news event will reveal the strings suspending any wokeperson in a suit, first-century robe-style, not to mention forgetting to cover the crane with a green screen. Even CNN will not have time to change their acronym to CNS [Christ No-Show]. Besides, CNN already became Cartoon News Network several years ago, when Roger Rabbit replaced Wolf Blitzer.

We have had a schism in the last few years. Not the same place anymore. The hatred of Trump by the left, because Hillary was supposed to, and was virtually guaranteed to win, has caused a significant, nearly palpable rift, and wokeness is virtually worn on the sleeve. Blood lust is on the horizon, and I am on the wrong side relative to woke, which is about as unconscious as I think one can be. I think another term for woke is zombie. Biden's unification is a myth because I see him as an enemy like we have never seen in the American generations, not because he is a crafty fellow, like Marx, but that he, for a blithering fool, has so many sycophants. Hence, my view of wokeness.

Do you think that HE will be keen to visit the U.S?

There's no suggestion that HE ever did previously.
Actually, there is.

"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." John 10: 16 Actually, the discussion begins from 14th verse.

The Book of Mormon contains description of Christ visiting the Western Hemisphere after his resurrection [North or South not known], who were remnant of the tribe of Joseph - specifically his son, Menassah - and within that record, notice of his intent to visit still others - the rest of the lost tribes of Israel.

By the way, modern genetic studies do not tie the indigenes of the Americas with Jews, because they're following mitochondrial DNA, which passes through generations only through women to children without any significant change, as regular DNA changes by individual generation to generation, and Jews are all issue through Leah, Jacob's first wife [when he was expecting to marry Rachel, first, but was fooled by their father, and Joseph is through Rachel, so, different mothers, and we don't have modern women DNA traceability to Rachel to compare as we do to Leah.

Home schooling increasing, and not just due to Covid

An agency of the Census Bureau that has been doing Household Pulse Surveys has found that in thre past year, Home Schooling has tripled in volume. Of course, much of that increase has been due to Covid, but the agency is sensing some indications that, while originally predicting that the rate wold fall again when students in greater volumes return to the classroom, that prediction is revising; not due to a new rise in Covid, but due to curriculum. Parents are, in greater numbers, speaking out over their discontent with curricula such as CRT. The movement, itself, has indicated that it is a theory camped on a theory https://www.edweek.org/leadership/what-is-critical-race-theory-and-why-is-it-under-attack/2021/05, which does not bode well for its stability of argument.

What is the education industry's response? That parents are domestic terrorists. Apparently, advancing the theory of systemic racism, since the education industry is a government agency complex, is self-fulfilling. Sure. So is home schooling. The PTA, after all, which predates CRT, begins with parents.

And, now, a word from our President...
"I’m not supposed to take any questions but go ahead," Biden told Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs.

"I’m not gonna answer on Afghanistan now," Biden interjected before walking away from the podium.

"Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O'Donnell from NBC," Biden said during a press conference in August.

Biden said he would be "in trouble" if he continued to take questions from reporters during a rare back-and-forth with the press in April.

He's in trouble, all right. On the heels of a latest Quinnipiac poll [10/6] giving Biden a 38% approval rating, he attempts to spin a dismal September jobs report of adding a staggering 150K jobs when 500k were expected. The word he gave was "progress." Yeah, typical progressive progress that does rearview mirror driving.

Rearview? How dare I? Easy, just citing Biden: "Build Back Better, isn't it? Am I wrong?"  What's so bad about building forward? Well, that's what you get when your follow a fellow Dem President whom you served as Veep, whose mantra was "Leading from behind." See, rearview, and backward all the way. Progressivism at its finest? Don't know, I'm not woke, thank God.

SENATE REPORT: TRUMP's SCHEME to PRESSURE DoJ and OVERTURN the 2020 ELECTION

@oromagi
A link to today’s report is available here.
Just a few curiosities:
1. Although the report announces the Committee initially launched this investigation on 1/23/21, in the official committee calendar https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/hearings?mode=calendar    there is not a single reference from January to  current October, 2021, of any committee meetings to conduct alleged interviews as stated in the report, nor is there any mention of the investigation at all. Why?

2. Throughout the report, there are key phrases like, "to endorse his false claims that the election was stolen..."  He also arguably violated the criminal provisions of the Hatch Act..."  "various discredited claims of election fraud..."  "false claims of 'signature match anomalies...'”  "Subverting justice," [the subtitle]
These statements hang as if verifiable, but nothing in the report substantiates the claims of "false," "violated," etc. Why?

3. I note that the report, while stating in the body of the report that it is from the "Committee," implying the entire committee of both majority Democrats and minority Republicans [and it does include a page listing the committee members of both parties], the report clearly states on the title page that it is a "majority staff report," i.e., Democrats, only. A bit partisan, yeah? Why?

Seems a lot of blather without substance. Nice citation.

Oh, but there are nice photos of Trump and staff in the Oval. At least it is then Oval, and not Biden's media "set," which I wager is in DE, where Biden is usually found, though I doubt he's aware of where he is at any given moment..

a new argument against determinism
-->
@Bones
Interesting syllogism, but I do not agree with its conclusion.
The reason is because you are combining the existence of a thing, in this case, free will, with its use, which is something altogether different than its existence.
Having agency [free will] is useless if it is not used.
Think of agency as having the right of freedom of speech. I can say whatever I choose to say, ignoring consequences. But, what if I choose to not speak? If I choose not to speak, then I am not exercising that right, but it remains a choice I have to do otherwise. Similarly, if I ignore my agency, and do nothing, what can I accomplish? Nothing. Agency,  itself, does not compel its use. There's the hiccup in your syllogism. The fact is, I can determine to be a bump on a log, driven by the river, making no choice for myself but yielding to the current. This does not prove I have no agency; just that I choose to disengage from it, which is still a personal choice.

I know, you can argue that it is not really my choice; that to choose to do nothing was determined; that the universe decided I'm a bump on a log.

Don't be so quick to join the side for whom he comes as a thief in the night. That's the kind of people who are not prepared, or simply not expecting the.event at all.

One need not know the month, the day, or the hour. We should be as the virgins who have prepared their lamps with oil, ready to attend the wedding feast; ready to attend the Lord at his coming. For those who are prepared, his coming is as though in the noon-day sun; a day of brilliance, and thanksgiving, and joy for living, basking in the glory of such an event. That's the team to join.

There is a reason why the PTA, founded in 1897, by the way, before anyone was woke [which, of course, means anyone who is dead asleep, because that's how anyone "woke" acts, begins with Parents, and, only then, Teachers. So, woke has reversed the roles, just as the Communist Manifesto said would be done, eliminating parents in the role of rearing children. Why? Because communism does trust parents to indoctrinate children with communist bullshit principles. I wonder why?

And another logical conclusion. Well done. Such is the overall accuracy of social media. Hell, by this kind of standard as expressed by many members, advertising actually tells the truth about its products. Absolute, dependable bullshit.
Social media is exactly the result of thinking as expressed by Howard Beale in 1976's "Network," who had the crazed insight to recognize that TV, then  -  and today's social media, in addition to TV - "will tell you any shit you want to hear."
Hence, the dependable, always-accurate Wiki; social media's justified academic source of "any shit you want to hear."

@ludofl3x

1 Corinthians 12:28
"And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues."

Ephesians 4:16
"from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."

While these speak of an earthly organization, it is, as many biblical accountings, description of a type. Organization is organization, whether on earth or in heaven, because...

I Corinthians 4: 33
"for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"

I Corinthians 14: 40
"But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner."

There's more, but, as I said, reading the Bible is essential. Hint: it's isn't like reading the comic section.

But, there is a point to a God principle that takes it from principle, or metaphor, to text of real usefulness, like a pie recipe. A how-to. And pies end up being either really awful, or really terrific, and a lot of boredom in between. See, even with a recipe [metaphor for scripture, you know], there's no guarantee of outcome, because either people know how to handle the nuances of pie success, or they think they know, and do not, or don't know a bloody thing, but try, anyway. Have to hand it to the tryers. At least they're in the arena, and not sitting on the fence, criticizing.

My wife makes a terrific pie, and the secret is a great, buttery, flakey crust. Every time. She just knows what she's doing. The filling, regardless of what fruit it is, is great, too.

I can illustrate that pie, as well as appreciate the eating, so, my recipe book is a little different from hers, but we're both trying to fulfill the full measure of our creation, and that's what it's all about, because we're after that compliment at the end of the mortal road: "Well done, good and faithful servant. I have made you ruler over a few things; I will make you ruler of many things."

When are we going to get it that Congress does not know what it is constitutionally all about, because it isn 't what they're doing. So, you think heaven runs itself, or that God, alone, is in the throne room? That's a different kind of porcelain throne, not to put too fine a point on it. After all, Michelangelo did risk revealing God's end game on the Sistine ceiling, but that's another story for another time.

Angels, bud.

Bottom line, heaven is an enterprise. Hint: Only Marx thinks that only one guy runs a lemonade stand, but he never ran one, so what the hell does he know about it? Real enterprise owners, CEOs, know they need administrative, manufacturing, marketing, R&D... staff. A really competent CEO also knows he will move on, and someone capable in management is elevated to CEO. In our case, that's Jesus, for now. Eternity is a long time, and behind Jesus, there's... well, us.

Heaven is an education machine: how to be a god. There are, after all, many enterprises, and all need a CEO. You thought there was just one?

Bathroom etiquette
Most public bathrooms have stalls equipped with doors. Doors are a funny thing. Closed, they're a wall. Open, they're nothing. If a door's proper function is as a wall, there;' a certain etiquette. If a wall, it has meaning; and intended separation: one is within walls, or one is outside of walls. Walls define inclusivity. Outside, etiquette says, you're not included. Is that clear enough to sentient people? To polite people?

Agree or disagree with Kyrsten Sinema, there's a certain toilet subtlety that escapes some people; kind of like trusting that flatulence is all that will escape. In public, that may be a little embarrassing, and there's a certain etiquette about that, as well, because, well, everybody does it, don't they?  The invasion on Kyrsten Sinema was effected by someone who understands none of the above. and we're supposed to think they have relevance? Sorry. All I hear is a toilet flush on that etiquette.
