About me
I'm the former lead moderator of this site.
I don't actively debate anymore, but I still coach people; to which I've built a couple useful debating guides:
1. Style and Formatting - http://tiny.cc/DebateArt
2. Kritiks (advanced arguments) - http://tiny.cc/Kritik
---
My best debates here:
1. "Should abortion be made illegal?" - https://www.debateart.com/debates/1024-should-abortion-be-made-illegal
__ Likely the foremost abortion debate on this site. It was a true competition, with each side losing some contentions.
2. "Fetuses as a replacement for the USD" - https://www.debateart.com/debates/866-fetuses-as-a-replacement-for-the-usd
__ A hall of fame winning comedy debate.
3. "Perpetrators of minor crimes should not be arrested" - https://www.debateart.com/debates/577-perpetrators-of-minor-crimes-should-not-be-arrested
__ Criminal justice debate, which I honestly thought I would lose.
---
Born in Canada as a slave. Immigrated to the USA. Served as an airborne combat medic. Got too many college degrees. Covid-19 cost me my dream job, but I am getting back on track.
Like many others, I migrated from Debate.org (DDO) when it died.
DDO general highlights:
1. Served on the Vote Review Board.
2. Wrote the site guide (http://goo.gl/CdSyLw).
3. Fixed the entire unvoted debate backlog (so that ones actually in need of votes could be found...).
4. Undefeated even while having multiple vote alliances made against me (88 debates not counting the occasional deleted one … all while refusing the cheap free wins).
DDO debate highlights:
1. "The World is Doomed" - https://web.archive.org/web/20130607130752/https://www.debate.org/debates/The-world-is-doomed/1/
__ This was a trap debate, which I accepted against someone way more experienced expecting to lose.
__ It showcases how to cleanly and systematically dismantle such cheap tactics.
2. "Star Trek: Get Rid of Holodecks" - https://web.archive.org/web/20150727034656/https://www.debate.org/debates/Star-Trek-Get-rid-of-holodecks./1/
__ My first open challenge. It's a fun one, and the closest I've come to losing.
3. "Should Abortion be Illegal in the United States of America?" - https://web.archive.org/web/20140508024005/https://www.debate.org/debates/should-abortion-be-illegal-in-The-United-States-of-America/1/
__ Comedic abortion debate featuring a rap exception... Yes rap, as in music...
__ Seriously a great example of how trolling should be done.
