I know Casten and know she didn't mean it that way. But this is a hot button issue. What was done to the Judge was inexcusable.
Even if not intended that way it nonetheless illustrated a profound lack of awareness that being unjustly imprisoned is far from the worst thing that could happen to someone accused of such crimes.
I would say being "convicted and lynched" in the "court" of public opinion would in many ways exceed the harms of being imprisoned.

Upon what basis would a criminal investigation even be opened? You have, in each accusation, zero corroboration and inconsistency to the point of seemingly outright lies. There's not even probable cause a crime was even committed and you wanna talk about a criminal investigation?
Do you understand how investigation and prosecution of crimes even works? It seems like you don't have the faintest clue.

Oh, so because it's not a criminal trial that magically means presumption of innocence doesn't matter and uncorrborated and junk allegations should totally preclude someone from being able to take public office/a job?
Be careful the principles you abide by, they tend to come back and bite you in the rear if they're perverse, and oh boy is acting like burden of proof is on the accuser(either preponderance or beyond a reasonable doubt) a sure sign of perverse moral principles.
Imagine, you get accussed of rape and/or facilitating gang rapes. People despise actual rapists, even criminals consider rapists(and paedos) to be disgusting. Now also imagine, there are people that have zero issue with seriously harming or killing rapists. Then understand due to your abandonment of burden of proof being on the accuser, means those individuals should believe the untrue accusations leveled against you.
Try sleeping well or walking alone at night knowing there would be many people who believe that accusation, as you quite obviously think it should, who would stop just to send you to the hospital or put a bullet in the back of your head based off that.

Magic missile doesn't require an attack roll and dms are under no obligation to "show their work"
(Ur getting worked up over nothing my dude. My cutting words ability let's me use an inspiration to subtract a d6 from a roll. That's why I'm asking xD. Hence why i said i got you, cause I'm using cutting words on either the hit roll or damage roll to try and keep you up lol.)

(the hags can cast their innate spells at will. Unless they're paralyzed or incapacitated I don't think much will stop them from using planar shift. We'd have to have someone with a spell that cancels out or disables casting.)

(stay up the stairs, the ranged can move forward, fire when in LoS, then move back behind Grahf and Roberts. Ranged focus on Offalia, Grahf and Roberts either attack the first Hag that comes up the stairs, or use dodge to help avoid their attacks as ranged focus Offalia down.
If we can take one out, they lose most of their abilities.)

(@everyone - Snerps pretty much screwed right now till the spell wears off. Don't think anyone in the group has anything to remove the paralysis. Hopefully they don't attack him and are aggro'd up the stairs to deal with the more prescient threat of everyone else. XD)

Eikka moves forward and gives Snerp a good smack across his face.
Upstairs! she shrieks before moving back upstairs and in as much cover from the hags as possible.
Snerp wakes up Grahf and moves upstairs as well.
(If we take them on the stairs it'll be 1-2 at a time. Good spot to make a stand. Roberts and Lux should be able to take out Dretch.
I'll have Snerp cast feather fall with his 1x a day cast on Ireena, Ismarck, and the kids next turn and have them jump, telling Ismarck to shoot at the raven outside if he sees it.
I'll save a lvl 1 slot to cast feather fall again on everyone else as a "oh shit" emergency evacuate option. But we're not out of the fight just yet imho.)
