ah, I think I'll figure out the main format before opening one as to not get 20 penalties before opening up but that's good to know

As someone who is extremely new to debate, PLEASEEEE!!!!!!
When I get interested in something I practice it until I can beat people, then once I lose I practice more, this is how improvement works (at least for my autistic ahh), this approach may work in chess, but not in debate as you require other participants.

I want to use this site to practice debate, however everyone on it is HIGHLY experienced and I don't want to go into a debate to get steamrolled by a national champ who has done this for 9 years. I can't practice IRL as my debate club is off right now, and I can't practice on here since I don't have enough experience.(I have quite literally done 0 debates so far as the club is still being set up)
This is just me complaining as I don't know how to get into this, but I would kill for this to be more accessible for new users-maybe a tutorial, somewhere where you can analyse other's debates to learn, or rated matches so that I can face someone of a similar skill level.
