Do you think domestic terrorism will be a large issue during and after the election?

I worry somewhat about the potential for a breakdown of the social order due a disputed presidential election. I don't think it's a very likely a scenario. The last time something like that happened (1876) a deal was reached.

What do you predict will be the outcome of the 2020 election?

It's not possible to predict, but I think Biden is more likely to win based on polling. Probably Trump wins 1 in 4 times-ish.

Why not?

Because I'm not concerned with society generally. It's pretty low on my priorities, but I think what you're really thinking about is the positive aspects of the profit motive. I really don't see much of a problem in that department. Through wages, personal motivation continues to exist when the means of production are socialized. In capital markets you would have to hire people to emulate the market activity of investors and entrepeneurship. That's just off the top of my head, BTW. If you wanted the best answers to this question you wouldn't come to me but would research the matter independently. Check out the Tennessee Valley Authority, State Capitalism, municipal broadband, and other socialization stories. Look at marketing, how it is so full of dishonesty. Look at Enron, "gotcha" fees, planned obsolesence, banks rearranging the order of transactions to maximize the number of overdraft fees on customer accounts, nickel and dime fees on all the airlines, drip pricing, wage theft, etc. Our world is full of crap like that because the profit motive exists at an institutional level. The government doesn't do that sort of thing (or does that a lot less)

Are you concerned that 1. Removing the profit motive will decrease motivation and 2. That business decisions will get done less quickly if everyone has a say (workplace democracy)?

No.

As you are a socialist, what are your thoughts on immigration/border policy?

We are the masters of our lands. We should pick and choose those whose presence would serve us well, and to hell with the rest of them.

what made u become a socialist?

The natural result of capitalism is vast wealth and income inequality and poor social mobility. That and the free market is not an ideal solution to many problems. The profit motive creates many problems. Socialized means of production are generally a better deal for society because the profits are used for the public good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPKKQnijnsM
