I am aware that wasn't your argument, but as Virt and I have just said, the mod team has had to close a plethora of alts.

Again, I am not very supportive of the crackdown, but why wouldn't it be justified if the issue is one that can be difficult to solve with a very lenient agenda?

This crackdown on multis may have been thanks to a member who I will not name that created 30 accounts total, at least according to the mod team. It could be less than that, but given that the user had very identifiable traits and had admitted to at least some of the multis being his, it is reasonable to assume the figure is close to 30.

People may be unfairly sanctioned, but I don't know if many here would have siblings/friends that would be invited to join DART. If you consider that the sibling/friend could be unwilling to join hangouts and justify any claim of them being a different person, then it would otherwise be very hard to come to a rational conclusion on whether the accounts are used by the same people or not. I feel that the concern for this is justified, as the mod would otherwise see a member's "brother" votebomb their debates in favor of the former member. You could argue that it is bias, and that after said votebombing, the "brother" could no longer be permitted to vote for said member, but what then? If it really is the same person, they might make sufficient RFD's as a smoke screen for cheating in a debate.

This probably won't happen considering the inactivity in this site, but I can at least understand bsh's position here. This isn't to suggest that I want a crackdown, but I am not one to firmly oppose it either.

Because the right are emitting a false sense of intellectual and moral superiority over the left in the press/internet, even though many of the left's problems can easily be attributed to the right. There is no "better side" and there is no "factual side". A good chunk of the populace will believe anything they hear on the press/internet.

That is not to say the left are without fault, but I will not bend over and pretend like the right are.

I know that Antifa exists, but right wing extremists account for many cases of genocide/homicide in total extremist killings as well. I refuse to be a sheep of the press and assume that the right is just more reasonable and passive when sh!t like this also happens.

I would concur with the above posts that slavery was capitalism. Slavery was a component of capitalism centuries ago, the branch of the whole tree. Capitalism is the obvious answer.
