4-wheeled vehicle. That's literally it, and all industries and sporting events actually go by the amount of wheels a vehicle has.

There is no ACTUAL, DEFINABLE civil war coming. The best thing close to it would be the Troubles or the Years of Lead in Italy. So underground Militant groups fighting, not two major sides to a sprawling conflict.

Linear thinking is based.  It shows your consistent.

I'm sure you would agree that humans, society and culture aren't linear. So why should politics be?

Does this include the Bible verses that advocate for open borders, or the ones that call for stoning people to death for adultery(so Trump would be stoned if we live in a theocracy)?  Does this mean we would have to have a 100% wealth tax (the Bible says to sell all you have and give to the poor)?  What about all the times the Bible contradicts its self?  The part where it advocates abstinence until marriage (and very few Republican politicians follow this)?  The right is not a pro theocracy party.
What bible verse calls for open borders? Adulterers should be shunned in a just society. The Bible says to be charitable. The Bible never contradicts itself. And, republicans are not Christians. They are liberals by definition so of course they are not a pro-theocracy party.

You really have to stop thinking in American terms. No major politician in America today can be remotely considered "right-wing" ESPECIALLY considering the standards of other countries and history.

What does it mean to be a progressive?  If it means changing the status quo, then Mike Pence is progressive on abortion because he wants to change the status quo.  It would mean any politician that implemented constitutional carry would be a progressive on guns since they are also changing the status quo.  What does it mean to be progressive?
Progressive means to liberate the human individual from all constraits.

they are winning the war. The West was wrong in thinking Russia couldn't sustain a long war. They can, and they are increasingly finding more economic alternatives in the world.

You see, Putin wants a new world order to compete with America. BRICS is one thing. But he is also heavily invested into Central Asia and now Africa. He wants a Eurasian world order that can compete with the west, and thus he doesnt need the west's sanctions. India hasnt put sanctions on Russia, and that is where Putin is doing his business now

Early America was also quite politically divisive. Hamilton and Jefferson weren't the best of buds.

All republics are like this though. And most of the fathers were very skeptical and pessimistic about the future of the country

It is so funny how the House and Senate and Presidency are all blue but they have done nothing to try and take away red policies. Just proof of there incompetency as a party
No it isn't. This is proof that the SCOTUS is the most powerful institution in the whole country. There is NO way you can fight them, and they can really make any ruling they want to make

2. I do not consider this a W. I am pro life, however, our government should have no say in what a person can do with their bodies. It is simply not anyone's decision besides that person. To deny person that liberty violates the freedoms promised in our constitution. I would much rather have a government that let things happen that a government that is actively restricting peoples liberties
You don't have the liberty to murder a human baby. The government should uphold moral values and principles that actually help the nation. Which includes banning abortion. There is no need to construct an imaginative civic idea of "gubberment should have no say" when in reality, the government will ALWAYS have a say and influence behavior, as it should really.

Supreme Court has overturned Roe V Wade
"WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court has overturned the monumental Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion across the America.
The 6-3 decision on Friday followed the early May leak of a draft opinion indicating which way the justices would rule. That leak prompted protesting across the nation, particularly in Washington, D.C. as well as dozens of attacks and vandalism of pro-life organizations, centers, and churches.

Justice Samuel Alito wrote that Roe and a subsequent case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which upheld Roe, both must be overturned, and the right to allow, deny, or restrict the right to an abortion must reside with states.

Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” the opinion states. “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision.”"

I never thought it would happen to be honest. But a W nonetheless

How is that violating the 1st amendment? Where in the constitution is the separation of church and state? The only reference to that is from Thomas Jefferson, someone who didnt even believe in Christ

@3RU7AL
I am absolutely aware of all that history. I fully understand how the Founding Fathers were anti-Catholic and originally created the Continental Congress because KG3 made an act protecting French Catholics in the colonies. I am aware how the upstate NY Loyalist Irish Catholics were allowed to join the British Army to defend their religion and King against the Founding Fathers. I am aware how the Mexican-American War was a war against Mexican Catholics and how Irish+German Catholics defected to the Mexican side because they couldn't stand the anti-Catholic massacres(St. Patrick's Battalion), I am aware of how the KKK waged war on Southern Catholics. I am aware of how the US Govt. sided with the communist Mexican government against the Cristeros, who simply wanted an end to the incredibly repressive anti-clerical practices. I am aware of how "Orangeism" revived during the 1960 presidential campaign among Northern Protestants to oppose JFK.

And yes, the standard argument against Catholics is that they threatened liberties. Cromwell argued that papists in the Royalist army were threatening the rights of Englishmen. The Founding fathers thought that the Quebec Act threatened their religious liberties. And, the KKK used the same argument.

And really it makes sense why they chose this argument. 19th century conservatives and royalists were all Catholic, and The Syllabus of Errors in 1864 issued by Pope Pius IX  strongly condemned classical liberalism. Because of the liberal society in America, the heresy of Americanism developed in European Catholic circles which denounced the heresies espoused by American liberalism:

"The long-term result was that the Irish Catholics who largely controlled the Catholic Church in the United States increasingly demonstrated total loyalty to the Pope, and suppressed traces of liberal thought in the Catholic colleges." From wikipedia

Furthermore, Catholics were too socially right-wing for the liberal American society. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and in favor of contraception, said that the Papacy were a "dictatorship of celibates". Catholics have been the only major opponents of pornography, contraception, and other sexual vices, while Protestants were ok with divorce and pre-martial sex, they took a hard stance against alcohol which Catholics really didn't do.

I am a patriotic American, but every Catholic has to recognize this history. Why any Catholic would support someone like Thomas Jefferson is beyond me

There was a time when Christians were as steadfast in defending their faith as Muslims. Now if you walk down the street in London publicly insulting Jesus, you will get more opposition from Muslims than from White Brits

Something that I don't understand
-->
@TheUnderdog
It's because not everything has to be broken down into logical principles that you must subscribe to at all times.

The left and right assign value to specific ideas, irrespective of being "hypocritical". The left values buggary so of course they would be against people firing someone for that behavior, while they also value vaccines, so they would be ok with firing anti-vaxxers.

The problem with you and Libertarianism is that it is way too linear. There's no nuance that takes in a multitude of economic and social factors. You guys subscribe to a broad range of civic principles that actually have no effect on what people really care about. People actually care about their lives, family, nation, etc., and not your civic principles. And because the left and right don't subscribe to the Constitution, or "free market capitalism", it will be infinitely more appealing than libertarianism. The Right subscribes to Christianity, which provides a blueprint for society instead of providing a broad range of principles. The Left subscribes to progressivism.

This concept is hard to understand, but I hope you get it. Because the American right subscribes to these broad range of "principles" instead of caring for what actually matters, they have taken every loss in the past 60 years to the left.
