tell me what "experts"

wattsupwiththat.com isnt an anti-vax website

FACT: most cases are due to ac circulation in hotter temperatures thus we see a rise in hotter states out of nowhere, the openings were already done a moth ago before the spike and the protests didnt see an immediate spike, please tell me what other cause is there??

The headlines are screaming about recent increases in coronavirus cases, with some suggesting that the essential problem is the loosening of the lockdowns and restrictions.  A number of media sources note that many of the problematic locations are “red” states with Republican leadership.
It is not surprising that moving out of lockdown resulted in more COVID-19 cases.  In addition, the increasing number of tests undoubtedly increases the number of known infected.

But could there be something else going on?
Could increased use of air conditioning, particularly in the southern tier of states, be a significant driver of increasing number of COVID-19 cases?
This blog will attempt to help answer this question.
So where is the virus really spreading?   A good way to see the problem locations is to view the percentage of positive tests.  A worsening epidemic is signaled by a higher percentage of positives, assuming there is widespread testing.  Positive percentage is far better than number of positive tests, which, of course, varies by the amount of testing.

Here is a plot of the positive percentage on July 7th.  The big problem states were Arizona, followed Mississippi, Florida, South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Nevada, and finally Idaho.

Below is a different type of plot that shows the same thing, but provides the actual numerical values.  The bottom line:  the situation is far worse for states along the southern tier of the U.S.  Arizona is the worst, with Mississippi and Florida right behind.  These are states with very different demographics.
But what do these states have in common?  Some media outlets are pushing the fact that most of these states are dominated by the Republican party and have been quicker to open up.  But they have something else in common:  these states have had high temperatures with a lot of air conditioning use.  (And no, there is no reason to think that heat turns people into Republicans).
If we look at the high temperatures in June (shown below, NOAA division dataset), southern Arizona (including Tucson) is the nation’s hot spot–and yes, it is the hot spot for COVID-19 as well.    Mississippi, South Caroline, Florida, Texas are all very hot.  And according to U.S. Census data nearly all homes and most restaurants in these states have AC.

And an independent graphic, showing the high temperatures averaged over the 30 days ending July 7th (Climate Prediction Center), has a similar pattern.  Arizona has the highest temperatures.

so your answer is that you cannot provide any evidence at all that corona virus spread is linked to temperature? If that is the case, please just say so. If you think they are related, provide evidence. Don't just keep repeating yourself.
i did provide evidence

how so? I have not heard of any safety guidelines imposed by the trump government. How can it be obvious? Please tell me precisely what the trump government is doing to keep students and teachers safe.
well look harder

I skimmed your source. there is nothing concrete in there that I see. I don't see anything stating what resources they are going to give schools. I see nothing about mandated rules for re-opening, just some vague references to some guidelines from the CDC.

So tell me, what exactly is the trump government doing to keep students and teachers safe. So far all I see is vague comments about resources and maybe some guidelines. I don't see anything concrete.
nope, they were rules

Those photos are literally nothing. The south is hot. The south has lots of corona virus cases. You have not provided 1 shred of evidence that those 2 things are related.
nope, they are IDENTICAL

please provide a source proving the Trump government has mandated safety guidelines for schools before they re-open

ok, you keep repeating this but have offered no evidence whatsoever to back this up. Either provide evidence or stop saying it.

if they aren't much, then there should be no issue with the US government ordering that all these steps be taken. But they aren't going to do that because they don't give a shit and don't take it seriously.
they did....

because reopening schools without taking proper safety precautions is going to cause another surge in cases and put lots of people at risk. If trump wants to order similar safety procedures as Denmark, then maybe it could be done safely. But they aren't doing that. They are just threatening them to re-open or else.
wrong, he offered a safe solution

@HistoryBuff
Denmark had it's people listen to safety rules. The US has millions of people refusing to follow safety rules. The 2 situations are very different.
nope, its because of temperature increases

its why californa despite having a lockdown and seeing an increase!!

that would be a lie. Denmark took lots of precautions. Here is an article about it. It includes:
- installing new sinks
- changing faucets to be hands free
- hiring more cleaners to regularly clean bathrooms and all points of contact (door handles etc)
- guidelines that make children wash their hands every 2 hours
- changing class schedules to keep class sizes smaller and more spread out
- when playing outside children had to stay in the same group (children weren't allowed to switch groups to keep the virus from jumping
- any toys that couldn't be easily cleaned were put away

So you see, they didn't just re-open their schools. They fundamentally changed how their classes and student interacted and put more resources in place to prevent the spread. Trump and DeVos aren't talking about doing anything like that. They just want to re-open now and damn the consequences.
those may seem like a lot but really arent

the cdc required masks and a lot more and and are now saying to REFUSE opening schools!

@HistoryBuff
yes it is. The point is to keep people from interacting with other people as much as possible. And when you do have to interact with people, to keep it in a bubble. IE you need to see your family every day, but you should prevent others from entering your home, or you going into other people's homes.

everybody in the country is reopened now, but some states have rises and others dont- that claim makes no sense

business down south is done INSIDE

yep. the government refused to take the virus seriously until it was already out of control. just like trump. He still isn't taking it seriously. At least the spanish realized their mistake.
nope, trump took it seriously but others chose to force covid patients back into nursing homes like in democratic states

A healthy level of fear is a good thing. It allows you to take actions to mitigate the risk and protect yourself. Instead trump went with lying to everyone, undermining efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus, and now ordering people to go out and spread it under threat.
there is no "healthy level of fear", you dont want to fear, PERIOD

true, they were afraid there would be a rush on masks and then there wouldn't be enough for medical staff. The lie was stupid, but they thought they were doing what was needed to prevent the crisis getting worse.

why should we trust them then?

he also told them not to wear masks, to reopen their economy as soon as possible, to force teachers back to school without safety precautions etc. Saying one thing, then saying the exact opposite over and over and over does not mean you took the issue seriously.

strawman, he said none of those things

so they want to protect children and teachers from becoming seriously ill or dead. Oh my god, those monsters....
nope, they want to kids education ruined even though denmark and UK ahve been succesful with schoool reopenings

hey made serious changes to their schools to keep children apart so the virus couldn't spread. The US isn't talking about doing anything like that. The order is "re-open NOW". When asked what safety precautions they should take, the government doesn't give a shit. They aren't going to provide any assistance at all.
no they didnt make any changes, no masks, nothing just spread out desks

the us IS DOING THAT

no, it isn't. The factor is idiots cramming onto beaches, and into bars, and going to parties. People ignoring the basic safety precautions are causing the virus to spread out of control.
like the protests?

and no, they arent ignoring safety precautions, plus herd immunity is why new york is staying the same with number of cases

Clearly you haven't been listening to betsy devos. That is exactly what she has been saying. She is ordering schools to reopen under threat of having their funding cut. She is offering no assistance at all to schools. No funding for safety upgrades or protective equipment, not even suggested safety standards for how to safely reopen. Just a blanket order to re-open or else.
nope, all false!

you're not getting how social distancing works. The point is to stay inside as much as possible and interact with as few people as possible. Going outside where you will likely interact with more people in a pattern that is not predictable is what spreads the virus.
thats not the point- your not staying in your HOUSE

Iran isn't known for easily spreading info, so it's hard to tell exactly why they couldn't control it. Italy got hit hard and they were slow to respond, so it got out of control. Their cultural habits also made it worse.

Spain ignored the outbreak and refused to take steps to fight it. I can find a source for you if you like, but there was a case where they had a press conference telling everyone that everything was fine, there was no corona virus issue. But one of the guys making the announcement is sweating and coughing through it. Like 2 days later he was diagnosed with corona virus. It takes balls to tell everyone there is no outbreak, while you yourself have it.
spain ignored it because of the womens march LOL!!!

130,000 people are dead and the count is still climbing. This has killed double the casualties of the Vietnam war in a matter of months. Why would you think panic is not justified?

how does panic help? when your solving something, do you panic??

has been proved to be ineffective against Carolina virus and can have life threatening side effects. Its the assholes telling people to take it that are the problem.

STUDY:Early Hydroxychloroquine Is Associated with an Increase of Survival in COVID-19 Patients: An Observational Study

trump refused to take safety precautions. He told other people not to. He is pushing states to re-open even as the virus is spiking. He is ordering schools to re-open under threat even though the CDC is telling him it isn't safe. Yes, trump made it political.
the CDC once recommenced you to not wear masks in march...

he told people to be careful about the virus
