How many people do you believe actually paid 93% of what they produced?
but your arguments just aren't good.
That does not mean there is no opportunity cost for punishing hyper-productive people.

Roosevelt himself called Mussolini “admirable” and professed that he was “deeply impressed by what he has accomplished.” The admiration was mutual. In a laudatory review of Roosevelt’s 1933 book Looking Forward, Mussolini wrote, “Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices.… Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism.” The chief Nazi newspaper, Volkischer Beobachter, repeatedly praised “Roosevelt’s adoption of National Socialist strains of thought in his economic and social policies” and “the development toward an authoritarian state” based on the “demand that collective good be put before individual self‐interest.”

I don't think Trump wants as much state control of the economy as FDR or any other Democrat.
Unlike FDR, the only thing he might have in common ideologically with Hitler is racism maybe. Certainly not a centrally planned economy managed by the swamp.

FDR was basically Hitler without all the racism.

FDR was also a fan of Mussolini, so much so that he pioneered the institutional regulation of all industries and directed economic markets to be centrally planned in DC. A practice that continues today in the form of corporate subsidies and regulations barring entry into markets.

which clearly says Trump can't run.
Lol, nothing in the Constitution says if you feel a guy is an insurrectionist, then you can deny the public a chance to even write him in and vote for him. Trump has only seen gains in the polls the more legal action is taken against him. Swag is right. Colorado was never going to give electoral votes for Trump anyway, but the legal action will most certainly help Trump even more in the swing states, of which Biden leads in ZERO of them currently. Democrats seem to be a one trick pony these days, doomed as a proverbial lemming. It's almost as if secretly the Democrats want Trump to win at this point....doing things proven to get him elected...

Yes. I don't engage in Adhoms personally attacking members that I don't agree with, I expect the same in return.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is real :)
Agreed. A TDS person would most certainly claim "jury biases are irrelevant" under any context pertaining to actual justice.
Thankfully, the shoe should fit the other foot. Soon, likely.

Maybe we can force illegal aliens to work to provide this free healthcare without pay.

Or just don't spend money deporting them
The busses are free for them to self-deport. When they leave, so will the welfare burden.

Prisons need guards; and that's going to add to the cost.
You don't need guards for illegal aliens, just busses to take them back home when they get tired of living in a prison room.

@TheUnderdog
In terms of merely corrections cost...
Again, you are adding the costs of enforcement. I am only discussing the actual shelters. A hotel room is more expensive to build and maintain than a prison room. A prison room is more expensive than a tent, but more humane.

If colleges have to be funded in order to get prices lowered by the 19% that rose since 2020, so be it. It's a fair trade.

@TheUnderdog
The $300 billion figure I cited was for all prisoners in the US.
You took the total cost of policing and courts(alot) and divided it by the prisoners (not many compared to the general population)
For that number to mean anything, you would have to fabricate a society with no policemen, lawyers, DA's, or courts. Good luck with that.
Again, the cost of a prison, especially a voluntary prison with no guards, is far cheaper than a hotel room or a modern freshly built shelter to standard code. If the illegal immigrants don't like the prison, they can return to their home country.
Or you could do neither and have the government have a hands off approach...
That is the status quo for San Francisco where massive tent cities are allowed to exist. But police and courts still have to be paid, regardless.

Most people without money are clueless about the difference between an estate tax and an inheritance tax. If they did, trusts would be outlawed.

You included the costs of policing and courts. We already pay for border patrol and ICE and courts,
If you only look at the cost of the facilities, they are far cheaper than putting illegals in hotel rooms.

What IWR said. Me filling out my granddad's ballot because he has Parkinsons and can't write is not election fraud and certainly does not deserve airtime on CBS.
I know that's what he said. That is not what I said. Nobody cares about trusting IWRA to follow election laws. People care about election officials preserving the integrity of elections and to not count 21 percent of admittedly illegal votes.
Trump was an example...
Again, Trump was not trusted to count ballots fairly with integrity, and he was also not trusted to throw out illegal ballots that were filled out and signed by another person. Not everything is about Trump. This is about the failure of the trust of an election process and the failure to provide a fair and legitimate election for the public. Nothing to do with Trump.
Point me to the policy changes that will prevent this from happening again. I can wait a few decades, it's ok.
