It can't be overstated when it comes to what constitutes "failing" in Ukraine. The only thing that matters to the Military-Industrial Complex is that war goes on forever. So, the Ukraine war is a massive success. There are no American troops on the ground there, but the defense industry is being paid billions to arm Ukraine. In fact, this war is one of the most successful the MIC has ever enjoyed. The greatest word the MIC can hear is "quagmire". We're just stuck for years, spending billions on a pointless, illegal war. Now, that's good business, folks.
There are already predictions of even greater profits in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Hundreds of billions, perhaps trillions of dollars will be loaned and spent "for reconstruction" of Ukraine.

A Ukrainian official has been relieved of her duties over her handling of reports detailing sexual assault allegations made against Russians in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, removed Lyudmila Denisova, the parliament's commissioner for human rights, from her post, according to Ukrainska Pravda. No new appointment has been made to fill the role.
The move to dismiss Denisova came after outrage about the wording used in public reports about alleged sexual assaults committed by Russians, as well as the alleged dissemination in those reports of unverified information. Despite accusations from Ukraine, the Kremlin has repeatedly denied that Russian soldiers have committed war crimes or sexual assaults during the invasion.
Last week, Ukrainian media outlets and journalists signed an open letter in which they requested that reports concerning rape and sexual assault be "published with caution," particularly when involving children, according to an English translation of the letter.
The open letter also stated that "it is important to understand that sexual crimes during war are an instrument of genocide, an instrument of waging war without rules, but they cannot serve as illustrative material to inflame the emotions of the audience."
The letter also criticized Denisova for including details of cases that the journalists said were unverified and asked her to "check the facts before publication" and "disclose only information for which there is sufficient evidence."
The letter went on to say that the information put out by Denisova's office is regarded as factual by the media, and is then used in articles and in speeches by public figures.

The shuttered Maltese bank Satabank was used by a Ukrainian gas firm to channel payments to American president Joe Biden’s son Hunter.
The details emerge from a leaked cache of documents and images found in a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, who was at one point employed by gas firm Burisma in 2014.
The allegation is that Satabank – investigated over a slew of suspicious transactions that included organised criminality – was used to flout money laundering rules, according to claims by a longstanding FBI informant, for a $10 million payment from Burisma to Hunter, using various offshore transactions.
The emails from the Biden laptop show income statements, pasport details and utility bills sent to Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi, to set up an account at Satabank in 2016.
The FBI revealed to Congress that an informant told them of an alleged $10 million money laundering and bribery scheme involving Hunter.
The House Oversight Committee said they were tipped off to the existence of a document detailing the scheme by the whistleblower. Initially rebuffed by the FBI when they demanded a copy, the Bureau relented when FBI director Christopher Wray risked being held in contempt of Congress. The 30 June, 2020 document is a write-up of claims by a longstanding informant who had been paid a total $200,000 by the FBI since 2010 for information.
The informant claimed Burisma owner Zlochevsky told them about his scheme to pay $5 million each to Hunter and his father Joe Biden, through a network of bank accounts, as a bribe to halt an investigation of Burisma by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, and to facilitate favourable treatment of the gas company.
