Have you also read about who is going to be the next Canadian PM?

@n8nrgim
Even Canadian media admits they don't know the full story of what goes over.
The only statistics we have is what we seize and what we catch, we have no clue about what gets past.

@n8nrgim
Why do you say there was no enforcement when we pointed out there was lots of enforcement already?
Because you didn't. I asked for evidence of the money being actually spent and the personnel actually being on the border, and you dug your heels in with some garbage MSNBC opinion piece saying what "ought to be" from the testimony of "my expert"
I asked simply for an alternative source that showed actual enforcement, and you said "fuck off radical"
Who is the partisan hack here?

@n8nrgim
And instead of admitting a billion dollars in Canadian spending probably won't change much,
Why would I trust statistics about what goes over the border illegally when there's no enforcement?
Why would you for that matter?
"it's just gotta change something".
Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but at least there's a way to get an idea of what is actually happening instead of just guessing numbers and giving up.
All I see from you is gut speak and diversion tactics.
You certainly never complained when Democrats were for a strong Border before Trump ran...

@n8nrgim
I don't trust statistics tracking illegal entry, because no enforcement means we are just guessing numbers.
Let's revise those numbers after we see enforcement.
u do seem like someone with no principles other than defending all the stupid stuff conservatives do.
You mean like the thousands of protesters in Denver waving Mexican flags after over 100 Tren De Aragua cartel members were deported?
Save your fake pontification for your bubble.

Lol, no. It's a bad bill because it's a bad bill. Having a partisan hack write it just makes it even worse.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of faith some people have in partisan hacks.

the bill was written by one of the most conservative republicans in Congress
All the more reason to suspect foul play.

President Donald Trump AKA "Hitler," has just become the first fascist in the history of humankind to use his despotic authoritarian powers to reduce the size of the government.
While most other fascist leaders throughout history have used their power to increase the scope of government influence in their respective countries, Trump has broken with tradition to become the very first fascist with a focus on dismantling his own government's overreaches.
"Only time will tell, but Trump must have something extremely nefarious up his sleeve if he's doing his fascism by making government smaller," said Lee Glyde-Jennings, who teaches several advanced classes on the history of fascism at Harvard. "It's entirely unlike every other fascism in history to this point — I'm just waiting to see exactly how he's going to wind up instituting a fascist dictatorship by carefully picking apart the government bureaucracy."
Several Democrats had also warned that Trump with access to the nuclear codes would soon start World War III by making peace with other nations.

President-elect Donald Trump officially announced that he plans to impose a 25% tariff on all imports from California into the United States.
While California Governor Gavin Newsom had publicly vowed to resist any attempts by Trump's administration to force policies promoting freedom on residents of the state, he warned that Trump's tariff could cripple California's already debt-ridden economy.
While California Governor Gavin Newsom had publicly vowed to resist any attempts by Trump's administration to force policies promoting freedom on residents of the state, he warned that Trump's tariff could cripple California's already debt-ridden economy.
"Trump, who promised to be a dictator on day one, is going to impose these tariffs as a way to punish the People's Republic of California," Newsom said. "We won't stand for it. I've already contacted my good friend Xi Jinping and he's going to send Trump a strongly worded letter."
Trump imposed the tariffs in response to looming trade disputes with California. The Golden State exports most of the United States's avocado oil, tofu turkey burgers, red wine, organic bamboo salt water crackers, and paper clips. Despite the U.S. demand for such goods, Trump pledged to stand firm.
"American products for American patriots!" Trump said in a post to his Truth Social account. "We will not allow the majority of the products we consume here in the United States to be produced over there in that communist hell hole. We also urge the brave people of California to stand up against their oppressive regime and fight for freedom."
Trump had also announced that he would impose tariffs on Canada, but only for maple syrup because no one really cares about anything else coming out of Canada.

It looks accurate don't it?
It's not even close to accurate, lol...some dude (my expert) says something and that's a realistic take on the world?
True, there was a time when they had more than just hot takes and actually had a reputation, but they cashed all that in for the quick bucks during the era of "storytime with Hitler." The election's over now, and the majority of the people on the left know MSNBC ran cover for failing DNC leadership, and know MSNBC is a large reason why Biden was forced to drop out and forced to watch Kamala lose in slo-mo time. Remember, this is the venue where morning Joe and others said Biden and Kamala were the best candidates in the history of Democrat candidates, and actively censored any opinion to the contrary. This is why all those media alternatives you listed have more viewership today, because they are much less obvious about lying to preserve corrupt and incompetent power structures that were directly responsible for the devastating Harris loss.
NPR, and other venues have totally moved away from that failed business model among far-left media, and for good reason.
Pull up a NPR article, I promise to take a look at the devil's advocate side in good faith.
Created:

@n8nrgim
it quoted experts...
Again this is the part that got MSNBC into such the mess they are in now where so many leftists went to those other outlets you listed. The whole "my expert says this" take on the world meant nothing after the Harris loss. It's just bad take opinions built on the testimony of bad-faith actors.
Feel free to cite any of the alternative sources. I promise to take a good look at their more realistic take.

@n8nrgim
Facts? The article clearly is listed on the top as "opinion"
Again, I am open to hearing the opinions of the far-left as a devil's advocate, but MSNBC isn't a really accurate representation of the actual far-left. Certainly not anymore as most of their far-left viewership left for more honest takes. I would be far more open to hearing what actual far-leftists think about the current situation, not manufactured narratives barely any leftist listens to anymore since the Harris loss.
I could cite the new York times, or the Atlantic, or PBS, or NPR
Sure, any of those would be a world of improvement and closer to reality.
Created:

@n8nrgim
Why do you still get your opinion-news from MSNBC?
They lost around 75% of their viewership after the Kamala Harris loss for a very good reason.
Their opinions were way, way off with the rest of America and reality.
Citing MSNBC says more than you think it does.
I get that you want to cite a radical far-left news outlet to align with your radical far-left thinking....
But there are soo, soo, much better options for far-left opinion-news.

@n8nrgim
Even though those agreements were already in place?
What's your proof for this? Are you now claiming we had a written agreement a year ago?
Or is this more of your imagination to get the facts to fit your feelings?

@Savant
We are doing exactly that.
This was a mad predictable manufactured dip to anyone not caught in a TDS bubble. It was always going to go back up, and now, I already covered my trading fees and then some with the latest dip. No reasonable person actually believed the far-left liars when they "knew" Trump wanted to start a trade war.

Exactly, the only people losing money in the stock market is the OMFG TRUMP SUCKS club panic selling and losing money whenever Trump so much as sneezes. Those people deserve to impoverish themselves. Just hold and buy the predictable dips, and you make out great.

@n8nrgim
What goes on in my mind is that before Trump, we had no signed agreement with Canada. Today, we do.
This is what an alliance is supposed to look like. Signed agreements. Binding commitments. Not talking points.
This is why the far-left is objectively in a massive freefall in both the US and Canada, because of way too much lip service and way too few binding agreements.
You can pretend that it is not, but the world will go on, regardless. The election is over. Orangeman will Orangeman, heedless of your tears and fears.
Created:

@Double_R
And in the meantime, all this posturing and claiming victory ignores the fact that Trump has now alienated or closest ally and trading partner, caused the stock market to crash, and has lead to an economic environment of confusion and uncertainty which is the opposite of what an economy needs to thrive.
Mad respect to Trump for admitting that there was going to be some short term economic pain for a long term plan of action and a solid commitment in writing from Canada. As we know from previous failed leadership, admitting economic downturns rarely happens, if ever, which is why faith in the Democrat party is at an all time low. Nobody wants to hear over and over that inflation wasn't a real problem. That's why the channel was switched.
Created:

@Double_R
You know what would have done a lot to solve this problem? Investing in agents and equipment to detect fentanyl at the border.
Lol, don't try to defend that ridiculous poison pill political play. Americans didn't bite and swallow it in November and most certainly not now.
The election is over, and you are still talking about campaign tricks and scams that failed 3 months ago.
Try to keep up.

When the new party takes over in Canada, we will see how the relationship holds. My guess is that they will agree with most of what Trump wants as it will help them politically as well.
Created:

@n8nrgim
A billion is actually a lot for Canada. And it is far more than zero. Trump knew Canada was in no position to tell him to fuck off like the trolls on this site regularly do. The far-left is in a massive decline right now politically in Canada. To refuse Trump now would mean the equivalent of Biden destroying his own party by resigning and then starting a hot war with Russia.
Created:
Posted in:

@n8nrgim
There was a big difference between lip service and signing an agreement to spend a certain amount.
This is what an alliance is supposed to look like.
If there ever was a good time to get Canada to commit to serious funding and action, it would be now as their far-left PM was about to resign.
