I am still not sure why the administration is still spending so much propaganda redefining what a recession is instead of actually helping people.

which have historically been supported by Democrats
Exclusively?
why does it require BRUTAL FORCE?
In case people get second thoughts :)
Suppose Mississippi wants to start sending toxic pollutants downstream to another state.
Like bussing illegal invaders to DC? I don't think the founding fathers thought for all contingencies :D
But apparently, the commerce clause doesn't apply to human traffiking. Even if the DC mayor screams for the government to fix it.
We actually don't have to wait for the EPA to do something either.
Created:
That is a HUGE aspect of the commerce clause that will continue to be extremely significant despite how many times you ignore it.
All of these transgressions against free Americans could be solved immediately if the clause were reworded (or if need be, translated via SCOTUS) to give the power to deregulate (destroy) state barriers to the free market instead of regulating (creating) barriers. Clear and precise language is necessary.

Why is it not socialism for Congress to use tax and spending powers to help provide utilities and paved roads to red states that can't afford it then?!
I'm all for the government taking from the majority with brutal force and giving it to minorities as long as the majority is OKAY with that.
You ignored every single one of those examples because duh, what could you possibly say in response...
Government should enforce contracts so yes there needs to be federal oversight for that. But please don't praise the government for doing bad things just because the good things supposedly cancel it out...c'mon man.
how interstate issues would be resolved without the commerce clause.
Name me some modern examples. We can go from there.
It's weird that you would come at me from a tone of condescension when you constantly have to dodge my points because you don't know how to respond to them. Very ballsy.
I was just trying to blend in :O
Why is it not socialism for Congress to use tax and spending powers to help provide utilities and paved roads to red states that can't afford it then?! Is it only socialism when the money goes to healthcare? Explain.
It depends on how they do it. I am very wary about all the string pulling and influence peddling that seems to always accompany the kinds of projects that are supposedly to help the "little guy"
My point was that FEMA wouldn't exist if we eliminated federal agencies but I guess you are okay with them after all.
Well let's take a cold, hard look at the alternative. If Rural areas saw no benefit for being in a Union, (and vice versa for Urban areas), then we now have the ground laid for a 2nd secession. Is that really worth saving a few bucks in the budget?

@Danielle
Oh! let me play the Danielle game, I'm new so don't be too harsh...
Do you think we should not provide relief to Rural areas or are you (obviously) hard core FOR it because you are also all FOR restricting commerce as a diehard supporter of the Commerce clause?
I mean, only an idiot would think those 2 things are anything but the EXACT same thing... amirite?
Created:
I HIGHLY doubt it since you want to abolish the Commerce Clause
How is providing relief anything remotely the same as restricting commerce?

And that is the whole uncomfortable discussion when you ask hardcore tribalists where to put the undesirables. We are talking about people that a few years before, you would have considered fellow Americans.
Balkanization has an extremely ugly side to it, and people should be forced to see that side and not be allowed to dismiss it casually.

I 1000% agree that crop monoculture is bad. But that’s a land use issue, it has nothing to do with your compliant which was that urban areas have to subsidize rural areas getting roads, electricity, and running water.
I find it absolutely weird that central-planning fans act concerned about monocropping when the same central planners made that possible through endless corn subsidies and ethanol propaganda.

Wdym? Solar panels allow you to live off grid if you have batteries. That’s the least statist thing possible if you pay for your own panels.
It is when you can't afford groceries because a corrupt government printed money out of thin air to subsidize them.

It's not wrong. Instead of embracing the social yin and yang, people lazily pursue the final solution through Democratic mob rule and the elimination of anything that is "not them"
That approach has disastrous, unintended consequences.

You can thank Plato and his "Philosopher Kings" for the evolution of this divide...he codified the whole "we appoint ourselves the 'wise ones' and give ourselves leave to exercise dominion over everyone we consider inferior to ourselves" mentality so prevalent in Western civilization, particularly in American academia, and thus provided an intellectually "respectable argument" for a thoroughly corrupt social order.

I might be wrong here though.
You are.
France power is owned by the state (plus a lot of other things)
Just don’t call nuclear power libertarian; it’s statist.
It's not nearly as statist as green energy, not even close. And it's only become so in America recently. All it takes is popular demand to return control to the people.

So was the OP, but clearly you disagree with the parts of the OP that denounced it.
Your objectively cheeky and thoughtless post demonstrates the very reason why Danielle took the time to write the OP.
It's a shame your opinion has spread through the country like a plague, shared by primalistic tribal sycophants with no thought to the future.
A mindset that heralds the eventual doom of America.

despite being the most sought after places to live,
Most of the Urban areas are extremely divided on Class lines with castes and alarmingly increasingly so. This is reflected in not only wealth inequality metrics but education gaps as well.
Of course within such a system, Being in the upper caste is highly sought after, but the migration statistics prove most people cannot make it.

The private sector isn’t going to spend billions of dollars on nuclear power plants. So if libertarians get the nuclear power they want, they are going to have to be government run.
Or alternatively, get the government out of the business of holding Nuclear power down. Investors had no problems making safe reactor plants before the government fucked them all up to save coal plants.

What nation is free from corruption? White supremacist dictatorships like Putin's codify their corruption. Democracies check corruption with renewed opportunities to reform. Ukraine after voting in Zelensky is objectively less corrupt than any point since independence. That is why Russia wants Zelensky dead- a democratic and free Ukraine- one that charges Russia free market prices for grain and free market rents for pipelines is destructive to Putin's supremacy."why did you lie?"

As a spokes-fibber from the Administrative Ministry of Hysteria explained: “It is absolutely vital that we ensure nobody starts hating the true oppressors or blaming our woes on the people who actually caused them because there is no room for that kind of extremism in this wonderful democratic oligarchy of ours, where every citizen and illegal invader is guaranteed the right to vote futilely for the people we select to ignore them. Thus popular hate-figures provide a valuable service and guarantee the survival of government as we know it.

Biden may not even be president in two years. Investors understand that.
Unfortunately, bad regulations on fossil fuel production are incredibly difficult to reverse once the government has a planned policy to end oil.
Regulations that will linger long after Biden leaves. Same thing happened to private investors in Nuclear Power.
