I have been stateside many times in my life and only ever had on problem. I found it better and more friendly down south. But that is just my own personal opinion.

I don’t know much about your political leanings but it doesn’t escape me that most of the same people advocating against letting these people live their lives how they want are the same people constantly advocating for all of their political ideals under the mantle of freedom.
What about the self-serving medical community that lies about risks and outcomes of these procedures? Most of them have plenty of insurance to cover the lawsuits. Where are the incentives for reform?

If I was made to believe that this is all I was in the world until it became baked into my self image I might contemplate suicide too.
There are multiple studies showing people without dysphoria being bullied at much higher rates and intensity; and although elevated, have nowhere near the 40% suicide rates of mentally ill people. Most trans today are actually more likely to commit suicide the deeper into the delusion they are allowed to live in, as suicide almost always occurs alone when a person is forced to deal with their reality; and when the gap between their delusion and reality is so wide, cognitive dissonance can't operate. It's well known that suicide often occurs when there is no relief from the maddening dissonance.

In fact, most women today either have toxic masculinity, or wish for it based solely on the delusion that we live in a patriarchy and that "being male" = having power.
To arrive at this delusion, you have to discount every metric of a woman's feminine power to shape society through child rearing and home building. It's been a known fact by all advertising agencies at the start of the industrial revolution that women by far purchase the most goods due to the simple fact that men are wired to volunteer finances in exchange for a continuation of their line. Every advertiser targets women first knowing they have the lion's share of purchasing power.
It's not so much the case now as men are ever more averse to volunteer finances to a woman who behaves like a man, getting little in return for the exchange.
So now you have men wanting to be women so they can get free stuff and attention and women wanting to be men so they can have "power."

Considering you're one of those people that doesn't want anyone to tell you how to live you seem to have no problem wanting to tell others how to live.
That's not at all what's going on here. These people are desperately seeking validation, and society is urging people to lie to them in order to gratify them, regardless of the inevitable loss of life and loss of quality of life.
It's the deliberate deception that I take issue with. Deceptions involving sex are another thing altogether though.
There's a middle ground everyone can live with between the false gratification that leads to death and Chinese social credit.
That middle ground allows anyone to have an opinion on what a person in a dress with an adam's apple is without being publicly shamed for it.

Upon further reflection, what the RNC has chosen to do is a direct result of the political weakness of the DNC in 2022. There is no doubt the DNC has a monopoly on mass media especially televised media. Before 2020, the RNC had no choice but to play on their court in order to reach people.
What this decision signals is that the RNC is 100% confident it does not need television exposure to beat the everliving shit out of the Democrats at the polls or the voting booth in 2022. It's definitely a wake up call to the Democrats that all the eggs in the basket doesn't matter if they are all rotten eggs.

I believe that sex and gender are inherently linked (if indeed there even is a difference) and brute forcing your body into a pale and sad imitation of the opposite sex never works.

Ok, I can point to 100 other examples where Schools taught "fact" such as the Nutrition pyramid, Blacks are less able, and we came from the garden of eden.
None of those "facts" are taught today due to society relegating non-skeptical people into the realm of absurd obscurity, despite pleas for attention.
