For instance, imagine instead of having a bloated government in DC in charge of roads, where the only way to get them to improve the roads is to pay them for all sorts of unrelated stuff just to get them to fund the roads, where the legislation is thousands of pages long and 3 cents of every tax dollar you spend on roads actually goes to roads.
Instead of having this anarchic system, imagine a state elected board where their only job is to do roads. They tax everyone at a flat rate of .5% (or less) tax and all the roads are fully funded at a fair and affordable rate, and most importantly, the system is efficient and accountable. A constitution for the board is written up so that the funds can ONLY be spent on roads. Period.
That would be a huge improvement over the current system.

Government doesn't actually "do" anything. It's a middleman that pays for services. The government isn't the only way to fund things. I've seen much better road service funding from online "adopt a pothole" programs.
The idea that nothing gets done without a bloated aristocrat in a government office needs to go by the wayside like the donkey and the cart.

My problem with a death tax is someone's already paid taxes on that. Basically the government saying is because it's transferring from one person to another you should pay taxes on it again because you didn't pay taxes on it. Inheritance is not the same as income it just isn't. I get so sick of people feeling like because someone has a certain amount of money they should have to give it to someone else especially the f****** government.
The cornerstone of any enduring society is to punish productive people and reward unproductive people.

Most of the data per the Moynihan report shows broken homes and the crime that followed started around 1965 and then took off exponentially as the policies causing the problems were never reversed. The crime problem was a more recent thing than the slavery or reconstruction period policies.

I think you don't have much problem with the FBI finding that between 1980-2008, within that period “most murders were intraracial”, with 84% of white victims killed by whites and 93% of Black victims killed by Black perpetrators. You said yourself that most people are killed by people they know.
8.5 million poor Blacks.
15.9 million poor whites
9219 Blacks killed by other Blacks in 2020.
5904 Whites murdered by other whites in 2020.
That's not even close to being "not much of a difference"
