@HistoryBuff
You think that if an elected government passes laws to control its people under the guise of protecting themselves from themselves that it is undemocratic, totalitarian and Fascist? I don't think you know what any of those words mean.

You're not going to have job creation destroyed if the government wants to play the role of a tort lawyer punishing specific people that hurt the public.
The public wouldn't support those businesses anyway.
In fact, we are one of the only countries in the world that have lowered CO2 emissions due mostly to public shaming and free-market businesses responding to their consumers.
What does destroy job creation is when the government decides what can be produced and what Americans must consume. Also when they arbitrarily fix prices for labor and products. Even if there is zero corruption in doing so <cough> it still destroys jobs and opportunities. It's also totalitarian and undemocratic.
And Fascist.

Don't be silly. The government shouldn't be in the business of business. Leave it to the pros.
Fascism economy is so FDR ago. We don't need an Obama transformation or revival of that.

Why do you think that 1 case of fraud is evidence that all green technology is bad?
There isn't anything bad about green technology. When the government gets to pick winners and losers in the free market FDR style, the entire nation suffers.

For people like me with job skills, minimum wage is awesome, but I don't want to live in a nation filled with homeless, living in tents like California because there are zero opportunities for the unwashed masses of poor.
I actually have a heart.

I mean we already ran this social experiment in Seattle. What is there to discuss?
Attacking job creators and job producers costs jobs and cuts existing job hours. Whodathunk?
It's so sad because people who have job skills are benefitting as people drop out of the competition for jobs above the minimum wage. People with job skills can easily displace unskilled labor for a lower stress job at a decent pay. That means more opportunity for all levels of workers with job skills, but the poor unskilled labor are basically screwed with no path to employment and no opportunity for getting their foot on rung one of job ladder.
Union labor loves this because their union members don't have to worry about labor competition, so they have more leverage to squeeze people out of the job market and raise the wages for the elite few that remain.
As usual in nearly all Democrat-run dystopic cities, the poor get the shaft and breadlines.

Minimum wage increases create more demand and stimulate growth.
That last clip is interesting as it lays out how the minimum wage discriminates against the unskilled poor and minorities.
Green energy tax incentives fosters growth and job creation in cutting edge technology.
so easy.

I remember a few years back the huge sit-in on wall street attacking the one-percenters when the Dow Jones was kinda low at that time.
Most Americans, even lower middle class, have personal retirement funds directly linked to the performance of the stock market, meaning All of America are investors of capital, not just the one-percenters.
Wall Street has been made main street due solely with the creation of the 401k.

Lol why is this discussion about me?
Drafter, you know exactly how I play as scum from the last game. I am a naturally lazy player as Luanic also knows combined with a strict policy as scum to lay low and draw little attention. The only reason I played as I did was because you ordered me to do so, meaning I am humble enough to know what to do to win. If I did what I wanted to do, Mafia would have easily lost that last game.

I was waiting for the tax and stimulus plans where the government attempts to re-allocate resources from proven producers of needed goods and services to whoever they feel like subsidizing at the moment.

However, there is no evidence Trump has had any positive effect on that.
Orly... Guess it's blind luck then that he is presiding over such large job creation. Certainly can't be due to competence, right?
You like astrology? I hear it's a fun hobby.
Obama sure believed in magic wands.

And the right does not have the exact same cognitive dissonance about trump?
No, we actually do not. And it is clear how completely bamboozled you are with the doublespeak indoctrination to assume every Trump voter is like that.
Many times on this site, myself, pie, dreadpirate, REF, have clearly said that at some times he lies depending on context. Sometimes he has no clue what he is doing depending on context, and sometimes he is doing a masterful job manipulating people depending on context. At no time do we ever hold these views at the same time for the same contextual instance.
It's been said over and over that his improvements to the country are much more important than the cosmetics of a president from all of us, yet you refuse to take that as a representation of the Trump voter because the media has told you that it can not be.
And even yet, the media would have you believe that Trump is an idiot that is wrecking the economy with his policies while AT THE SAME TIME being smart and wise enough to allow Obama's "awesome" economic policies to remain untouched. Only a person who believes in infinitesimally impossible random chance could consciously hold those 2 views at the same time with zero dissonance.

Have you noticed the Doublethink and Doublespeak in the mainstream media?
Created:
-->
@HistoryBuff
The doublethink is where you first stated that he has lied 10,000 times, which means he is smart enough to know the truth 10,000 times, was in control of the narrative to craft 10,000 lies purposefully, and was mistaken due to stupidity zero times. Then you go on to say that some of the 10,000 things are also insane, stupid, said with no control, tweeting 10,000 things that are false because he doesn't know any better.
It is either one or the other, either 2+2 = 4 or 2+2 = 5.
The press has made it acceptable to SIMULTANEOUSLY hold contradictory views about Trump with no critical dissonance. Namely, that he is smart enough to know the truth 10,000 times and evil enough to deceive us in every case while also at the same time being too stupid to know he was wrong 10,000 times.
It's this very manifestation of Orwellian Doublethink propagated by the Mockingbird press that allows people to be indoctrinated into thinking Trump is literally Hitler while at the same time being a Russian Puppet.
It's a clear failure of our higher education systems to allow such a casual disregard for critical thinking.
Created:
-->
@HistoryBuff
A great many people believe he has lied thousands of times, because he has. No one thinks he is a genius. He is an idiot who can't control the things he says and so a large percentage of it is just insane, stupid, or a lie.
There you go again with that Orwellian Doublethink
You're like a walking case study in 1984 paradigms.
Created:
-->
@HistoryBuff
And a small percentage are so delusional that they honestly believe he doesn't lie.
That's a far smaller group than the insane people that believe the "evil genius" has lied 10,000 times.

Charles Weingartner, one of the founding members of the NCTE committee on Public Doublespeak mentioned: "people do not know enough about the manipulation of words to recognize that the language being used conceals, distorts, misleads. Teachers of English should teach our students that words are not given things, but verbal tokens or signs of things that should finally be carried back to the things that they stand for to be verified."
