This was my 1st win as mafia. I used the tried and true strategy for scum by laying low and saying little, but just enough to appear helpful.

Tossing small seeds of doubt and never getting in a 1v1 attack with any of the town.

Supa has to stop with the gambits. Arose too. Luck doesn't win these mafia games in the end, and you essentially kill yourself and town along with it when your gambit (lie) is revealed.

Because you can't deport a person you haven't caught.

At any-rate it's a better theory than waving your hand and asserting that there must've been more illegal crossings
I only said going from the statistics of known offenders that were deported. We will never know how many Trump (or Obama) let in illegally that were not caught.

A drop in apprehensions either means a drop of people coming across or a drop in the efficiency of Border Patrol.

Perhaps Trump could borrow Obama's policies if Obama was more efficient at catching illegal invaders?

Maybe increasing the number of officers, getting Mexico to police their side, and sending the National Guard to help isn't as helpful as what Obama did?

Okay, I guess we can argue that Obama was more efficient at catching and deporting Illegal invaders than Trump was.

You got evidence for this claim?

Personally I believe neither president had much to do with the process. And I have heard no evidence that the head of Border Enforcement under Trump was less effective at doing their job than under Obama.. and vice versa.

So what threshold is going to be the tipping point where Pelosi has the votes to impeach in the house?

92% unfavorable coverage of Trump?

95% unfavorable coverage of Trump?

100% unfavorable coverage of Trump?

As for why it hasn't happened before now, it's because the democrats suck at getting information across.

Lol, Trump has had a 90% unfavorability coverage rating for 3 years from crony corporate media. The gaslights are on full throttle 24/7 on MSM.

Your theory that the Democrats need more than 90% unfavorable coverage of Trump sounds like a Hillaryesque cop-out.

You have to slip over before you can get deported.

We can only go by the numbers of the illegals we KNOW about due to deportations.

The numbers we don't know about are anyone's guess. Could be higher for Obama or Trump. Nobody knows.

What cause you found one month of February stats you cherry-picked that is an extreme outlier comparing the yearly statistics of apprehensions on the border?

How is that going to convince anyone? People look at long term trends, not gotcha stats.

Once again, your analysis is straight-up false, and misleading.

Obama had yearly deportation numbers much much higher than Trump, which means of the ones we KNOW about, much more illegals were slipping over the border than the ones we know about under Trump.

Just who do you think you are going to gaslight with that narrative?

Presidents never personally do this, their cabinet and a whole other array of things do.
This statement is both true and false.

The government and the president does not create wealth or jobs, nor does his cabinet.

But when the president stops destroying jobs with regulations and taxes, the media calls it "the president creating jobs" which isn't exactly accurate unless you believe the normal status quo is for the president and the government to destroy jobs and wealth creation.

People with capital create jobs and wealth. Period.

You are a prime example of letting your biases run away with your imagination.

Pelosi sure as hell doesn't care enough about the Kurds. Certainly not enough to miss out on a nice photo-op of her storming out of a strategic meeting discussing the future of the region.

False. WWII brought the U.S. out of recession, not the socialistic welfare of FDR.
This is also false as it is a broken window fallacy, though it is still popular in public schools.

What brought us out of recession was the end of regulations strangulating job creation. Public schools do not want you to know that.

I watched this really awesome video last week. That video was titled something like, "Trump isn't saying anything."

First, it went over some obvious optical illusions where 2 people can come up with opposite conclusions depending on their bias.

Next, it showed examples of politicians giving answers that were ambiguous and could mean anything. Next, it showed how Trump was the master at giving ambiguous answers with various examples, making the point that Trump does this as the rule, not the exception.

But what he does with the results of that technique is truly amazing and most of your post covers this. He is able to twist a person's bias out of proportion by purposely allowing the listener to run away with their imagination. It's only rare strategic times that he will reign the listener in with clear statements, and it is ONLY with his base, and only when it won't calm his opposition.

Anyone with a higher IQ can see exactly what has been going on since day one. Trump is using human biology against us as any clever magician would.

This is why you should never listen to the words but rather look at the policies and the results. Stop looking at the magician's hands because you will never see the trick. Look at the results.

Turkey may be a D student, but in a class where they are surrounded by students who get F's and eat glue, they look like the responsible one, which is why I think everyone else is letting them off the hook at the moment since everything else is on fire while Turkey is just smoldering/smoking.

@Nemiroff
Breadlines are a sign that the Government failed to allow capitalism to thrive.

Monetary Contraction.
The Depression was precipitated by a one-third drop in the money supply from1929 to 1933, which was mainly the fault of the Federal Reserve. The Fed made further errors that helped put the economy back into recession in 1938. Meanwhile, a flood of bank failures in the early 1930s compounded the money supply shrinkage and heightened economic fears. A key problem was that most states restricted bank branching, which prevented banks from diversifying their portfolios across jurisdictions. By contrast, Canada allowed nationwide branching and did not suffer a single bank failure during the Depression.

Tax Hikes.
In the early 1920s, Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon ushered in an economic boom by championing income tax cuts that reduced the top individual rate from 73 to 25 percent. But the lessons of these successful tax cuts were forgotten as the economy headed downwards after 1929. President Hoover signed into law the Revenue Act of 1932, which was the largest peacetime tax increase in U.S. history. The act increased the top individual tax rate from 25 to 63 percent. After his election in 1932, Roosevelt imposed further individual and corporate tax increases. The highest individual rate was increased to 79 percent. State and local governments also increased taxes during the 1930s, with many imposing individual income taxes for the first time. All these tax increases killed incentives for work, investment, and entrepreneurship at a time when they were sorely needed.

Keeping Prices High.
The centerpiece of the New Deal was the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933. It created “codes” or cartels in more than 500 industries in order to limit competition. Businesses were told to cut output and maintain high prices and wages. Businessmen who cut prices were cajoled, fined, and sometimes arrested. Fortunately, NIRA was struck down by theSupreme Court in 1935. The Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933 similarly restricted production to keep prices high. “Excess” output was destroyed or dumped abroad. While millions of Americans were going hungry, the government plowed under 10 million acres of crops, slaughtered 6 million pigs and left fruit to rot. Production of milk, fruits, and other products was cartelized to boost prices under “marketing orders” begun in 1937. These policies reduced employment and burdened families with higher prices. At a May 1935 press conference, Roosevelt read letters from elite crony businessmen thanking him for keeping prices high. With millions out of work and short of money, Roosevelt thought that his job was to shield high-cost producers from entrepreneurs wanting to offer lower prices to hard-pressed families.

Keeping Employment Costs High.
Many New Deal policies raised employer costs, contributing to the extraordinarily high unemployment of the 1930s. NIRA industry codes required high wages. The new Social Security tax increased compensation costs. New minimum-wage rules reduced demand for low-skilled workers. Davis-Bacon Act required the payment of excessively high wages on federal contracts. Compulsory unionism and militant union tactics were encouraged under a series of laws. One result was that U.S. work stoppages soared from an average of 980 annually between 1922 and 1932 to a peak of 4,740 in 1937. While “millions of jobs” were created in the government during the 1930s, private-sector jobs were destroyed. Total U.S. private employment was lower in1940 than it had been in 1929.

Harassment of Businesses.
Investment stagnated in the 1930s as a result of uncertainties in the economy and the new risks of adverse federal actions. Roosevelt and members of his administration demonized business leaders and investors in their speeches. FDR called them“economic royalists” and “privileged princes” seeking a “new despotism” and “industrial dictatorship.”Laws and regulations poured forth from Washington like never before. Roosevelt issued more executive orders destroying private job creation than all presidents from Harry Truman through Bill Clinton combined. Presidents typically issue just a few hundred executive orders, but Roosevelt issued 3,723.

It took the death of FDR plus the rollback of most of these policies to create wealth again in America.

@TheDredPriateRoberts
The principal question is thus not whether Europe should react, but rather with which sense of gravity and urgency? So far, neither the EU nor its member states have dealt with the Turkish invasion of north-east Syria with an absolute level of seriousness. Apart from condemnations, the Council of the European Union has failed to agree on any collective EU sanctions on Turkey, and it is very much the question of the hour whether the EU leaders will succeed in doing so. It is clear that with the threat of ‘opening the gates’ for the 3.6 million Syrian refugees in Turkey, the EU has been once again strong-armed by Erdogan’s Turkey.
That being said, it does not mean that the EU is totally out of the picture. France and Germany, together with a number of EU member states, have unilaterally suspended weapon sales to Turkey. France and Germany could lead collective European efforts of a number of ‘willing member states’ to find diplomatic and military options for northern Syria. There is a precedent for this.
When IS approached the Iraqi Kurdistan’s capital Erbil in August 2014, it was France that took the lead at the EU level. The French foreign minister, Laurent Fabius, called his EU counterparts back from their holiday. To illustrate the sense of urgency with which France reacted at that time, in one instance, a colleague foreign minister had indicated that they are on holiday and resting. Fabius had replied by saying, “no time for resting now; we rest when we die.” The EU Foreign Council convened for an urgent meeting on 15 August 2014. In that meeting, the foreign ministers decided that EU member states were allowed to provide military aid to the Kurdish Peshmerga fighters in their fight against IS. That decision, taken in the EU context, paved the way for a number of EU member states, including Germany, to help the Kurdish Peshmerga and in so doing, shifting the balance of power in favor of the Kurds.

For Europe, the cost of inaction may, therefore, be greater than taking firm and immediate action, even if that would put (trade) relations with Turkey at risk. It is a moment of truth for the European Union and its member states to show the world that they are determined to act forcefully in protecting human rights as well as preserving Europe’s security.
