Kinda hard to charge someone with a campaign finance violation if you don't discuss that violation.

I was just offering one of many plausible explanations why evolution would have allowed homosexuality to remain as a fit trait through thousands of generations. I do get your point that chemical attraction is highly complex in order to promote the diversification of genes, and we know that the more complex a system is, the more chances for error.

All of those things could easily cause a net detriment to fitness far greater than ten minutes a day and a few mL of protein.
The Panda is a great example. Evolution changes decided to radically lower their sex drive to allow survivors to exist on the scant calories of bamboo instead of starving. If humans lived in a bamboo world, they would be just as sexually lethargic over 1000 generations.
It may very well be that homosexuality was a fit trait passed down for thousands of years to naturally help control population in a way that didn't include starvation and disease. Evolutionary speaking, it's easier to adjust brain chemicals over selected generations than to design a human killing virus or to disrupt entire food webs.

The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13. states independant 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two?
