I’m looking for anecdotal evidence from someone I know
What a genius. Do you understand anecdotal evidence is not evidence by definition? It’s the opposite of empirical evidence.

But my point is, a liberal Congressperson who criticized AIPAC would not get CNN pundits repeating claims that he/she was screeching nonsense about "the Jewish lobby". This, of course, would be equivalent to how MTG was treated. It was patently unfair and reflected a double standard in how journalists talk about Democrat vs. Republican politicians.
Have you done an analysis of these two events or are you just saying your gut tells you the MSM spent more time on the Jewish laser comment? Does this discrepancy in talk include right wing media?

The Rothschilds are such a ubiquitous conspiracy theorist trope
The reason the Rothschilds are a common target for conspiracy theories is they are Jews, not bankers but JEWISH bankers.

But do you know who definitely does have Jews in mind? Liberals who denounce AIPAC as controlling American politics.
Saying AIPAC is a more well known Jewish reference than Rothschild or Soros is laughable. Most voters have no idea what AIPAC stands for but those 2 famous Jews are as well known to ordinary Americans as the Kardashians. And this is all about trolling the American people.
Of course you are referring to comment by an “infamous” member of the squad. Who republicans have implied may be a terrorist and should go back to her own country.

You can’t be serious.
To suggest that the only way or best way to scapegoat Jews is with the words Jew or Jewish is nonsense. You are quickly losing credibility as a sensible, serious Americans citizen.

Are we really getting to this level of nonsense? I see zero reason to care about some politician’s marriage. If you’re going to criticize, at least give an important criticism. This is frivolous.
The very Christian MJT is getting divorced even though god hate’s divorce. This is blatant hypocrisy.

When she tweeted an admittedly dumb thing about lasers from the air supposedly causing a wildfire (and to be fair, the technology isn't as farfetched today as it used to be), the media spun it into "Jewish space lasers" out of whole cloth despite no mention whatsoever of Jews. Seeing as they lied about that detail, I can only imagine how many journalistic "embellishments" inform the left's assessment of her.
Not that much of an embellishment. She named the Rothschild Inc, banking firm twice in the tweet. She’s not blaming the Jews, she just asking questions! She also said “she reads a lot”

I haven't yet seen evidence that MTG has done anything wrong,
I’m not suggesting infidelity or anything like that. She’s just a nut who got divorced for being a lunatic including being a religious nut, which is kind of ironic considering God hate’s divorce. Her moral failing would be her many examples of being a troll to gays, liberals, trans, immigrants etc…
this will hold true no matter what
That’s not true. Just MAGA whack jobs.
Jesus himself would be made into Satan if he had an (R) next to his name.
It’s safe to say Jesus wouldn’t not demagogue gays, immigrants, Muslims, refugees, trans, blacks, etc… Jesus had long hair and wore sandals. Republicans would hate him.
If so, that necessarily excludes anyone who isn't a Christian, as non-Christians reject by default the most important Christian value: turning to God in repentance and accepting the gift of salvation offered by Jesus Christ,
No, that’s ridiculous. Do you think only Christians can act in a way that reflects the teachings of Jesus? I doubt Jesus believed the most important part of being a follower was accepting his salvation.
And given that you probably do not identify as being Christian, it's laughable that you think you are qualified to define what true Christian values are.
I’m an Atheist. And I can learn about Christian religion as well as any other literate person.
Again, if Christians must submit to the government without regard for who their leaders are, then it follows that Christians are not obliged to only support Christian or even particularly moral leaders.
No, that’s not true. While they have to obey whomever is in power, they do not have to vote for that person.

The Trump campaign was wiretapped during an election by the opposing party using a false dossier funded by that opposing party. It’s worse than Watergate. There was no Russian collusion. Mueller said so.
All of this is a lie.
The Trump campaign was not wiretapped. Page was no longer an advisor to the campaign when he was surveilled due to his extensive Russian contacts.
Mueller found the Dossier was correct about Page having high level talks with Russians and lying about it to the FBI.
Mueller did not report there was no Russian collusion. The was Bill Barr. Mueller was unable to interview both Trump and Don Jr under oath. Because they were both so innocent they refused to be questioned under oath.

FBI lied to the FISA court and withheld evidence to wiretap a Trump official Carter Page.
That’s a lie. At the time Page was surveilled by the FBI, he was no longer a Trump “official” (campaign foreign policy advisor) Page had also been surveilled by the FBI long before Trump was even a candidate.

Trump has never been taken to court since becoming President. His associates have, and many of them plead guilty or were convicted.
He was acquitted by McConnell who said Trump was guilty but it was too late to impeach him. Which was a lie.
He was voted out of office. Only dipshits believe his lies that the election was stolen.
The FBI did investigate and wiretap him.
That’s a lie. The FBI never wiretapped Trump either before or after he was President.

what are the obligations of Christians in politics… it is to advance the good
Socrates said the only good is wisdom and the only evil is ignorance. Which of these do you think Marjorie Taylor Greene represents?

@Swagnarok
If you expect Christians to demand their leadership be Christian,
Well that would suggest that a Christian can’t vote for a Jew or a Muslim, etc… I’m saying they can’t vote for someone who is immoral. They certainly can and should be willing to vote for a non-Christian or even an Atheist, assuming they are moral people. I’m sure you would agree Christianity does not have a monopoly on morality. But to call yourself a Christian, which is all about morality and following the teachings of Christ, and then vote for a candidate who is obviously immoral, is grossly hypocritical to say the least.
The Bible says "render unto God what is God's and render unto Caesar what is Caesar's"
I’ve also seen this interpreted to mean that Christian’s should follow the law and obey governmental authority. Considering Christianity became the dominant religion of Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire, it’s easy to see that no government (or monarch)was going to allow that Christianity to take root without getting obedience in return.

@Swagnarok
As there's always a risk of this happening, by that logic no true Christian would be involved in politics, or the military, firefighting, policing, being a pastor or minister, etc. No true Christian would throw himself into his/her career in such a way that'd leave less time for their spouse.
To be honest, I think you are taking liberties with the Bible or engaging in a little revision to benefit your argument. The Bible encourages women to support their husband’s careers without reciprocating by the husband in the same manner. And unfortunately, since the Bible was written 2000 years ago and there’s no way for the book to be revised, Christians, including women, are stuck with what they have. It is what it is, an old book written by men.

and reasonably upheld the legitimate interests of her Christian constituents, there would be no particular inconsistency in voting for her.
Look, if she is going to market herself in elections as a Christian “defender of the faith” or “my religion is the best religion” or any other similar persona, she should follow those beliefs and tenets and at least try to live by them. But more importantly, if a Christian voter supports an immoral candidate,
just because they pledge to uphold their legislative interests, then that so-called Christian voter is a fraud. Being a Christian isn’t like saying you subscribe to the Keynesian economic theory. It should mean you can’t vote for an immoral person. And Majorie Taylor Greene’s conduct in Congress is immoral including being a sycophant of the immoral former one term, twice impeached President.

As you yourself inferred, the probable reason is the stress on their personal lives wrought by MTG's political activism. This is unrelated to the question of how she conducted herself as a spouse, and you're spouting allegations without proof.
Nevertheless, her marriage is a failure. She put her political career ahead of being a wife which led to a divorce. A true Christian would never do such a thing.
It’s obvious she uses religion as a prop to win votes from gullible Christians.
Created:

@Swagnarok
If you did not initiate the divorce,
Perhaps she was not a good and godly wife as prescribed by the Bible. Perhaps she was cold or slovenly.
Ephesians 5:22-30: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
she’s a phony Christian. Perhaps she should have talked less and listened more, including while around her husband.
Ephesians 5:33, Paul says, ” … let the wife see that she respects her husband.” When you respect your husband you notice him, regard him, honor him, prefer him, and esteem him. It means valuing his opinion, admiring his wisdom and character, appreciating his commitment to you, and considering his needs and values.
Characteristics of a Godly Wife
She trusts the Lord. The Bible talks a lot about anxiety and worry. ...
She seeks the Lord. ...
She prays for her man, her marriage and herself. ...
She is modest. ...
She has a gentle and quiet spirit. ...
She is trustworthy. ...
She serves the Lord in whatever she is doing. ...
She respects her husband.
Well this doesn’t characterize Marjorie. Modest? Gentle and quiet? Trustworthy? That’s not MJT

the Tao is the source of everything and the ultimate principle underlying reality.[2][3] Taoism teaches about the various disciplines for achieving perfection through self-cultivation. This can be done through the use of Taoist techniques and by becoming one with the unplanned rhythms of the all, called "the way" or "Tao".[2][4] Taoist ethics vary depending on the particular school, but in general tend to emphasize wu wei (action without intention), naturalness, simplicity, spontaneity and the Three Treasures: 慈, compassion, 儉, frugality and 不敢爲天下先, humility.

I live in California.
Imagine I refused to believe that earthquakes exist, and instead of preparing for them by storing water and supplies and buying insurance I simply took the stance that the idea of earthquakes were a hoax designed to take away my freedom. And then an earthquake ruined my house and cut water and power to my area for a period of time. Would I have to take some responsibility for my situation?
Many Floridians think climate change is a hoax. They vote for politicians who have that same opinion. They think any transition away from fossil fuels is a communist plot by the government. Now they want the Federal Government to take money from Democrats in wealthy blue states and give it to them to rebuild their homes because they didn’t have flood insurance.

…since they started asking (the) question in November 2020, the percentage of Republicans who claim that Biden only won due to voter fraud has hardly budged at all. On Nov. 18, 2020, 70 percent of Republicans said Biden won only due to voter fraud. This month, 61 percent did. On average, over the course of those nine polls, 64 percent of Republicans have blamed voter fraud — just shy of two-thirds of the total.
The pattern is obvious. People who want to believe that voter fraud occurred are almost universally people who do not read evaluations of fraud claims in The Washington Post. They are not people who are looking for information that falsifies their beliefs because, if they did, they would very quickly find it. Vague debunked allegations are made and comport with their sense of what happened, and that’s good enough.

In a 2013 interview with The Florida Times-Union, DeSantis defended his vote, saying that while he sympathized with the victims of Hurricane Sandy, the bill "was excessive" and fiscally irresponsible. “If a hurricane came here, I would want any relief plan to be fiscally responsible," DeSantis said at the time. "[I] would not want to add extra things and say that because this is a vehicle that's moving, let's try to Christmas tree it out."

Just a reminder that, when he was in Congress and Sandy had devastated the tristate, Ron DeSantis voted against Federal aid. (Not suggesting Dems should now do [the] same. Just pointing out he's always been a heartless little s--t.)," author Stephen Whitty wrote on Twitter.
Back when the governor was a newly elected Florida congressman in 2013, DeSantis voted against a bill that would provide $9.7 billion in flood insurance aid for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The Category 3 storm, which was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 hurricane season, inflicted nearly $70 million in damage and killed a total of 233 people across eight countries. Yeah, I want it to be clear this is not the normal attitude of a progressive.
That’s why conservatives think progressives are wimps.
For 10 years conservatives have been blocking the phasing out of fossil fuels and denying global warming even exists and your response is what?
Let’s compromise? Let’s apologize? Let’s listen to what the wack jobs have to say? The Koch brothers killed any bipartisan support for addressing climate change so we should just shrug our shoulders and say we tried? Meanwhile the earth becomes uninhabitable. But you want to what, be polite?
Let’s be clear. These hurricanes and other natural disasters are becoming more frequent, more powerful, more damaging, and more deadly, and Republicans want to ignore it. Republican voters want to ignore it because they are stupid. Republican politicians will ignore it because it gets them elected.
And who will suffer the most in the short run? The poor. But we will all pay the price in the long run.
