Dumb for town to lose focus there. Just do what he says and stay focused.

Sometimes, yeah. Thing is, you could be literal Einstein and still be wrong sometimes
Yeah but who is more likely to be wrong? It's okay to abandon your own reasoning to that of someone with superior intelligence. That's why elections should really only center around judging the intelligence of the candidates.

For example when voting for president and you have the options of a person with clear signs of dementia and a high IQ Wharton graduate. You take the Wharton graduate

Proposal to change the sites official language
-->
@Elliott
I just checked and there are already a few Esperanto forums but none of them seemed particularly active, so changing this site’s language possibly wouldn’t be very productive.
 Incorrect. These people literally travel to random countries to listen to each other speak, no matter how shitty an esperanto book is 20k people will buy it merely for the language it is written in.

There is a lot of indication that appealing to a demographic that loves debating and engaging with each other in a particular way, by offering to debate them in their preferred ways to communicate will draw them in.

Let's say the forum is less active though. By requiring this language be spoken it will weed out the retards on this forum and raise the average IQ of people posting here, this bringing more engaging conversation

Democrats blow whistle on fraudulent ballot harvesting...

@Sidewalker
So this is your argument for why we should dispense with our democratic system, you are afraid of young people, that's not terribly convincing.
A lot of young people are really intelligent and can be well read as well.

No, you just want to elect low IQ people who are in no way qualified to make policy decisions.
We have 2 scenarios, tell me which one is more likely to result in high quality candidates winning office

1. Disinterested low information people being harassed into voting

2. People who are passionate about policies and are well read high information people vote without having their votes erased by low information voters.

That, or we could get disinterested and uninformed voters to become interested and informed.

Yeah we have 2 options here as you highlighted. Live and let live or guilt people who could give a shit less about policy decisions into voting for policy makers they could care less in informing themselves about.

So I completely agree those 2 options exist

suppression

We definitely don't want to suppress low IQ people from voting who are in no way qualified to make policy decisions.

That's why I always advertise to 18 year olds with rock the vote campaigns

If we don't get the uneducated and disinterested voters to vote, then people with high IQs in ivory towers who need to touch grass will get to make their decisions for them, and there is no way those out of touch voters who care about and educate themselves on politics are in any type of position to tell the young disinterested voters that they know what is better for them.

People that get their news off tik tok should definitely have a huge impact on the elections.

Any time you cite a philosopher's position (as Vici did about Plato's "chaotic states") there should be a corresponding source for voters' perusal (which
Because it's the premises that matter. She gave credit to Plato which is nice, but it isn't like statistics where you need a source so your opponent can check the credibility of your claim.

Unless she is merely making an appeal to authority, which isn't always a logical fallacy, than she really should just be able to give credit to the originator of the ideal without citing where the individual first discussed it.

What if it was in private conversation? I know platonis dead, but if it was somebody alive and she was just having a coffee with them and they told her. Clearly the citation is not what is important but the premises to what they are arguing.

You are impervious to group think and a very competent voter. Do you mind just working really hard to figure out which side deserves votes more on that debate.

At the very least vici took on a good debater who is currently undefeated and deserves a fair vote, which she has not received yet.

So far not a single vote on that debate was fair. Even if Barney deserves to win, he deserves zero source points at all. That means if 3 fair voters show up and think vicci deserves the win, she will still lose because of the source points

RM, honestly, if you hadn't been absolutely obsessed with pushing on Pie, I might have eventually come along with you to lynch him by the end of DP1. I scumread him in DP2, though I thought he was paired with either Earth or That2 and I made the call that it would be easier to tease that apart first. Clearly, I was misled in that regard (good on Pie for managing that), didn't at all expect the Recruiter role.
Why does everybody let the fact that RM is a spaz, prevent them from seeing how extraordinarily bright he is?

Part of his chaotic genius is that because it comes from a bunch of disorganized random firing of brain cells he won't be able to explain his logic well, but if you town read him and he feels this strongly, you should just trust that and do what he says.

I no it ruins the fun of the game a bit to just follow someone you know is a chaotic genius blindly, but he is going to be right more than he is wrong when he feels that strongly and he won't feel that strongly often enough where you are just shadowing him the entire game but just for a mere DP

I seen older people have healthy baby's as well. There is a case to be made that the extra risk is minimal and I should ignore it. I did have 2 sons and feel like I did something to at least prevent the demographic slide, but I should have had more.

I know I am not in a position where it is a good ideal at the moment and as my real life and this online persona are starting to blend I will refrain from stating why I don't think it's a good ideal to give my child's mother more children.

Covid-19 was a plandemic lab leak

@Avery
This explanation is helped by the fact that Chinese people place great importance on saving face, too.
Yeah, a trait I definitely don't understand. It's actually a trait that has been very detrimental to the freedom of their people as well.

It's a shame you can't verify these talks you've had with people "close to what is going on". It would be great evidence.
I don't think it would be great evidence. They merely think there is enough evidence for a lab leak, believed it extremely early on but didn't want to speak publicly about it and we're upset with other scientists who were willing to talk about the lab leak early on.

Naming them and showing the emails, adds nothing new to the conversation while potentially alienating them from Chinese peers they are working with, assuming those working relationships still exist this deep into the epidemic.

I guess the second is true. It's just hard to verify generalizations like that.
It's definitely a judgement call. Either way it's kind of lose lose for politicians.

If you think a pandemic is unlikely and it hits, you are blamed for not preparing. If you prepare a ton and the preparation prevents a pandemic than it looks like you are wasting public funds on bullshit.

Proposal to change the sites official language
-->
@Elliott

Using that argument you could equally change the sites official language to Cornish, it is thought that only between 8,000 and 13,000 speak that.
Not the same at all. First of all esperanto is the easiest full language to learn.

Second of all, esperanto attracts people together

Every year there are multiple esperanto festivals where people travel from all over the world merely to speak the language to each other.

Cornish isn't going to attract any Cornish speakers, where esperanto will attract Esperanto speakers in large portions maybe up to 1 or 2 percent of all esperanto speakers globally.

This is also a group that is likely to have a higher IQ than even the average user here despite us having higher IQs than the general public. These are also people generally interested in global politics and economic politics of the Carl Marks.

Esperanto speakers spend a lot of time debating each other, we might as well overtly give them a platform and also learn a new language ourselves. I just started the duo lingo course myself and Esperanto is said to be the only language you can learn solely on Duolingo and become proficient at.

@Public-Choice
COVID-19 already spread globally by December of 2019. It wasn't officially recognized until March, where it was already globally spread.

It's not an all or nothing thing. You can slow the spread internationally, even if the virus has already went global. We are talking about mitigation efforts here.

but I highly doubt that the CCP were instrumental in stopping COVID-19.

There is a difference between CCP as an organization and ordinary citizens of China who have to carefully navigate a difficult political situation.

Chinese citizens will be forced to cut off any communication and help to the international community.

As far as how instrumental, I'd say the Chinese helped a lot. It isn't possible to put a number on ambiguous things like how much each person contributes to a project, but let's say that the Chinese only contributed 1%  to it. I don't know how many people died from the virus but a reduction of 1% in deaths seems like a significant number, and I am sure the thousands saved that would have died without this sort of cooperation are thankful that the Wuhan lab leak theory wasn't pushed hard enough to prevent this coordination

Except the ones here on Visa lol.
I am referring to the ones in China who may or may not be a Chinese ethnically.

BoP is on you to prove that. The earliest vaccines were developed by American companies and American scientists
I am not really referring to where vaccines were developed. A lot of the people in the Wuhan Lab where the virus probably originated from and who were already familiar with it were very instrumental in helping understand the virus.

We also have Chinese helpful in stopping the spread by shutting their borders down providing statistics to the WHO etc. Etc.

My proof is mainly in emails from scientists working in this area, and I don't have permission to share their names or thoughts. Their priorities seem to be maintaining relationships to help their work as opposed to being honest with the general public.

I disagree with those values but my value is to keep people's confidence when they are nice enough to respond to my emails

From there you just make the mRNA vaccine. They didn't "need" scientists of a particular ethnic origin go accomplish this. Any competent group of scientists could have.
You are not realizing just how big of a role Chinese scientists played in understanding the virus.

Also, who is to say all the Chinese scientists would refuse?
They live in a totalitarian regimes. You literally have doctors who were disappeared for acknowledging the virus existed early on. I assume most of the scientists helping do value self preservation.

Having just done a quick bit of research about 293,200 people speak Esperanto as opposed to 1.5 billion who speak English. So probably not going to encourage a rush of new members.
That is a terrible way to judge it. People that speak it are hungry to be around others who speak it because it is rare, so of the billions of English speakers nearly 0% are on the site. However esperanto speakers while low in number I believe people who are active in the community say 100000 would come at a rate of about 10%

Of course which is why it's laughable to even question an election outcome these days
I am so confident in the perfection of the election process that I think we should get rid of the electoral system. A close national vote will have perfect count. There will never be an incidents were severally understaffed volunteers counting votes will need to recount an entire nations votes in a close election.

Thank God it is perfect also. Recounting 150 million votes would be a pain in the ass, but luckily if it ever happened every single poll worker is above politics and not passionate about the future of the country, so they can be depended on to count perfectly.

I apologize. I believe Bacha Bazi was mostly just a practice in Afghanistan and the Islamic Taliban gained popularity because they promised not only to end the degeneracy of raping boys like the faggots in Afghanistan do, but also they fought to end the degeneracy of opium production as well.

It seems islam was a factor in reducing those things until the U. S. Government stepped in and kind of ruined that

- Indeed, Family oriented gene pools will inevitably always come out victorious. Unfortunately, it is clear the next generation will be predominantly degenerate. It will take at least a generation or two for your side to gain predominance again. But you can expedite this process by having 12 children families today.

That is good advice, but I am 40 and studies seem to show that once you hit 40 your kids are more likely to have cognitive impairments.

Fake news. But it's cute that you are comparing the once in a year occasional such news in Pakistan, with the daily thousands of such occurrences in your country.
Actually Bacha Bazi was such a predominant problem that soldiers were often warned against intervening because they said it was just Muslim culture and that's just what Muslims do.

Many soldiers came back home and bitched that they weren't allowed to prevent Muslims from practicing the Islamic tradition of Bacha Bazi

We are there to uphold the laws
According to some legal experts such as Harvey Silverstein argue we all commit about 3 felonies a day.

Are police really there to uphold all the laws?

Or do they pick and choose what laws to withhold.

Any cop that enforces laws is behaving unethically by the way. You should behave in an ethical manner no matter what the law says. If the law says it is illegal to pass by a baby without raping it, you shouldn't

"Derp I am an unthinking bot here to enforce law and that man is under arrest for not raping a baby"

Instead of just blindly obeying government primarily ran by liberals, you should instead of enforcing laws, look to behave in the public interest.

I was pursuing a couple of different insurance licenses and I can tell you what the government requires of banks is pure bullshit. Like I could have been held liable if I opened an account for a member of ISIS if there was even a hint that they were connected to the organization.

My thought process was, it's none of the banks business, that is for law enforcement but the law disagrees.

You have 2 different types of laws when it comes to insurance banking

1. The laws that benefit the government such as ones where if I allow a Russian national who was sanctioned by the US to open an account then I will go to prison.

2. The laws that benefit the banks/insurance such as the law of indemnity that only allows an insured to be covered for whatever some asshole says their stuff is worth and no more.

There is no 3rd type of law that helps the consumer, you just have to depend on state officials to have your best interests at heart, which they don't

So it's a very precarious position to be in and if the government is ran by leftists, they really can find banks billions if they start politicizing designations of terrorist groups

This is stupid. Pretty much everyone agrees that a defendent should not be forced to take the stand when on trial. We don't assume they are guilty for not taking the stand and yet they are technically using the 5th amendment to avoid having to take the stand at their trial.

If you think the 5th amendment implies guilt, you shouldn't be on any juries ever

Most VPN providers are legally required to hand over their data to the government anyways. They are also required to follow whatever laws their presiding government has about the internet.
While true some companies such as nord VPN have their technology structured in such a way that if they handed over everything they have, they still would not be able to link anything to you.
