The really secret to understanding how to mafia, as a Townie btw, for all interested, is to think like mafia.
You are the bigger gang, they just know more initially. Be thugs, makes them squirm under pressure and be aware they will never rat on each other (excluding with 2 teams like this).
You must want to be the town's godfather/godmother and do everything you can from DP1 start to ensure you wriggle your way to both be trusted by others yet be just silly or chaotic enough the scum don't kill you (unless you're vanilla and truly want to take the hit then just tryhard plain amd simple)

I think something strange is happening though.
GreyParrot's reason for being bleeder is your reason for having only 1 bulletproof vest. both of your bots take beatings well. Something is a bit strange, for both of you to be so defensive and yet you're vigilante? Sounds strange as hell to me. There are much more aggressive bots around to have your vig power, that aren't flimsy. Why did Austin pick the least offensive bot and not make it a pure defense role?

If motivator were in game and this role happened to work actively meaning it gives people +1x of depleted uses of their power, then if it is used on same night as a town role, whether vigilante or not, is it the case that the motivator would enable the person to reload their power or is there any town role where motivator acts first and the motivator can be told they didn't give the vigilante for instance their power back another time as the vigilante hadn't yet used it?
Perhaps I'm asking a different question:
if role Y was 2x and motivator gives power, does motivator give Y the 3x or 2x regardless, depending whether or not Y uses power or is there a 'max barrels in chamber' concept you'd apply?

I have to say I don't see how vigilante role fits Duck the bot at all, having watched the fight.
I think scum has an armor penetrating role though, because there are very aggressive battlebots that can saw through metal etc.

the vigilante should only use the power on whiteflame or wylted.
the motivator can be confirmed or denied by the vigilante the next dp. if the vigilante dies (because you wasted factional shield for reasons we'll never know) that's just life.
